Verín awards positions for Clarinet and Saxophone teachers

Por FactBox Admin

The Verín City Council has awarded the permanent labor positions for Clarinet and Saxophone teachers, within the framework of the extraordinary process for the stabilization of temporary employment processed through the competition system. The decision was adopted through two resolutions from the delegated councilor of the Personnel, Internal Regime, Conservatory, and Sports Area, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense on August 25, 2026, in the Local Entities section.

Stabilization Framework

The positions are part of the extraordinary public employment offer approved on May 13, 2022, to comply with Law 20/2021, of December 28, on the reduction of temporality in public employment. The regulatory bases of the process were approved on December 16, 2022, and published in BOP no. 290, of December 21, 2022, with subsequent rectifications in BOP no. 123, of June 26, 2024, and in DOG 171, of September 5, 2024.

The selection tribunal was constituted on May 29, 2026, in the Boardroom of the Deputación de Ourense and carried out the merit assessment on June 3, 2026, unanimously. After the claims period passed without allegations, the selection body formulated the award proposal.

Awards and Scores

The position of Clarinet teacher was awarded to Miguel Ángel Guerra Dos Santos, with 100 points (10 for academic merits and 90 for professional merits). As a complementary list for a temporary hiring pool, Jose Manuel Mosquera González appears with 81.75 points.

The position of Saxophone teacher was awarded to Alberto Loureiro Casas, also with 100 points. In the temporary hiring pool, Gerardo Israel Quintas Alonso appears with 10 points.

Both awardees must provide the supporting documentation for the requirements demanded in the bases, which includes:

  • Official medical certificate accrediting the terms of the third base.
  • Declaration of not being separated from the service of any public administration nor disqualified from public employment.
  • Negative certificate from the Central Registry of Sexual Offenders.

Appointment and Taking Office

The resolutions, signed in Verín on August 6, 2026, establish that the appointed persons must formalize the employment contract and take office within a maximum period of one month, counted from the publication of the appointment in the Official Gazette of the Province. Failure to do so without justified cause will result in the loss of the right to be appointed as permanent labor personnel of the Verín City Council.

The award represents another step in the consolidation of the municipal conservatory staff, reducing temporality in an educational sector where the stability of the teaching staff is key to the continuity of musical training in Verín.
