Twenty-three admitted and two excluded for the Environmental Agent position

The Association of the 150 Towns of the Land of Soria has approved the final list of admitted and excluded applicants for the call to fill the vacant Environmental Agent position on its staff. The Presidential resolution, signed on September 18, 2026, by president Guillermo Abad Pérez, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria no. 111, dated September 23, 2026 (reference BOPSO-111-23092026). The first exercise of the competitive examination phase will be held on October 15, 2026.

The provisional list was approved by Presidential resolution on August 26, 2026, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria no. 101, dated August 31, 2026, with a period of ten business days for excluded applicants to appeal or rectify defects. That announcement listed 25 applicants, two of whom were excluded for failing to prove the required qualification: Higher Technician in Forestry and Natural Environment Management or equivalent.

Following the appeals period, the Presidency has upheld one appeal and maintained the exclusion of the other applicant, meaning the final list consists of 23 admitted and 2 excluded applicants.

One appeal upheld

The first point of the resolution upholds the appeal submitted by Ricardo Sánchez Herranz, who submitted the proof of fees for obtaining the title required in the call within the deadline, and includes him in the list of admitted applicants. In the provisional list, he appeared as excluded under cause d), relating to the possession of the required qualification.

The final list, published on page 3289 of the gazette, is composed of the following applicants:

• Admitted: Javier Martínez Cacho, David Sanz Fernández, David De Miguel Rubio, Nerea Martínez Zunzarren, Carmen Moreno Moreno, Gerardo Pacheco Latorre, Cristian Pascual Escribano, Eduardo Tarancón Ayuso, Juan García Tejedor, Álvaro Rubio del Río, Sergio Lafuente Peñaranda, Arián Ascorbe García, Rosana Maqueda Lafuente, Raúl Díez Bueno, Susana Ortiz Sanz, Diego Gonzalo García, Jerónimo Sánchez López, Berta Altelarrea Pérez, Víctor Aguilera López, Cristina Narros Acero, Luis Rodríguez Luengos, Pedro Prieto Flores and Ricardo Sánchez Herranz.
• Excluded: Daniel Núñez Pérez and Alejandro Arguedas García.

First exercise on October 15

The third point sets the start of the first exercise of the competitive examination phase, a multiple-choice test, for October 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM, on the first floor of the Association of the 150 Towns building (library area), located at calle San Juan de Rabanera 1 in Soria. Applicants must carry identification documentation.

Calls for subsequent exercises will be made public on the electronic headquarters of the Mancomunidad and at the venues where the previous test was held, with at least twelve hours’ notice if it is the same exercise and twenty-four hours if it is a new one. Such posting shall suffice as notification for all purposes.

Publication, tribunal, and appeals

The resolution orders the publication of the final list, the appointment of the tribunal, and the convocation date of the first exercise in the Official Provincial Gazette, on the electronic headquarters of the Mancomunidad, and on the notice board. The announcement is issued in accordance with Article 20 of the General Regulations for the Admission of Personnel to the Service of the General State Administration, approved by Royal Decree 364/1995, of March 10.

Against the resolution, which exhausts administrative remedies, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the president within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Soria within two months, pursuant to Articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, and Article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13.

The final publication closes the claims phase and starts the countdown for the 25 candidates competing for a single position as an Environmental Agent, a key role for forest and environmental surveillance within the scope of the Mancomunidad de los 150 Pueblos de la Tierra de Soria. The result of the exam on October 15 will determine who joins a staff covering an extensive and dispersed territory.
