Vandellòs puts up for tender nine municipal properties for direct award
Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of Vandellòs i l’Hospitalet de l’Infant has called for the disposal procedure of nine municipal real estate assets through direct award, after lots 2 to 10 remained vacant in the previously processed tender. The decision was made by the Local Government Board in the session of October 14, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona on October 21, 2026, with the reference CVE 2026-09772 (p. 1-1).
The properties are part of the council’s Municipal Land and Housing Heritage (PMSH) and are put up for tender under the same terms and conditions already established in the tender that remained without a successful bidder. The procedure is processed under file 2674/2025 and is governed by the specific administrative clauses approved for that call.
Nine lots returning to the market
- Object: nine municipal heritage real estate assets.
- Affected lots: from 2 to 10, all integrated into the PMSH.
- Origin: disposal tender declared vacant (file 2674/2025).
- Conditions: the same as those of the original tender, without variations in price or deadlines.
The call does not include lot 1, so the new tender focuses exclusively on the nine lots that did not find a bidder in the first call. The agreement of the Local Government Board approves the start of the disposal file and, at the same time, formally calls for the direct award procedure.
Legal basis for the direct award
The operation is based on Article 168.2.b) of Legislative Decree 1/2010, of August 3, which approves the Revised Text of the Urban Planning Law, which enables the use of direct award when the tender has remained vacant. This is the legal basis invoked by the council to reopen the sale without repeating the public tender under a competitive regime.
The document was electronically signed on October 20, 2026, by the municipal general secretary, M. Àngel Benedicto Esclarín, and its authenticity can be verified at the city council’s electronic office.
Thirty days and mandatory electronic submission
- Deadline: 30 calendar days from the day after the publication of the call and the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona and on the contractor profile, that is, until November 20, 2026.
- Submission method: mandatory by electronic means, through the Public Procurement Platform of Catalonia.
- Documentation: specific administrative clauses and other technical documentation, available on the contractor profile and the municipal electronic office.
Both developers and private individuals interested in acquiring municipal land or housing may apply, provided they accept the conditions set out in the clauses.
The market release of these nine properties allows the city council to mobilize assets that had remained blocked after the tender was declared void and to obtain revenue through the alienation of patrimonial assets. For buyers, the direct award provides a second opportunity under the same economic conditions as the first call, but with a 30-day window to formalize offers.
