Valls opens the call for grants for extracurricular sports with 20,000 euros

The Valls Municipal Sports Board has opened the call for financial grants for the promotion of extracurricular sports in the municipality’s educational centers, with a maximum credit of €20,000 for the 2025-2026 academic year. The call was approved by Presidency Resolution 159/2026, dated August 27, and its summary was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona (BOPT) on September 7, 2026, with the official reference CVE 2026-08278.

The purpose of the call is to regulate the granting of aid for subsidized sports activities during extracurricular hours during the 2025-2026 academic year. The activity cannot be federated, must be carried out within the same educational center, and must be continuous in nature. Who can apply for the grants

Beneficiaries of the grant may be public and semi-private primary and secondary educational centers in Valls, as well as their parents’ associations, sports sections, or school sports associations that organize extracurricular sports activities. In all cases, they must be non-profit and legally constituted.

Deadlines and submission of applications

Applications are submitted through the electronic office of the Valls Municipal Sports Board, within a period of one month from the publication of the call in the BOPT. The evaluation criteria are established in the ninth clause of the call, and the justification must be submitted together with the grant application.

The credit is charged to the current budget application 1.34100.48016.01, with a maximum total amount of €20,000 for the 2025-2026 academic year. The grant is incompatible with other financial aid from the Valls City Council for the same activity.

Publication and notification

The publication of the resolution on the notice board of the Valls City Council replaces individual notification for all purposes.
