Valls opens 2026 grants for social sector entities

The Valls City Council, through the Department of Social and Community Action, has opened the 2026 call for grants for associations and entities in the city’s social sector, with a maximum amount of 11,500 euros. The call was approved by resolution on August 25, 2026, and was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona on September 3, 2026 (official reference CVE 2026-08201).

The call, registered in the National Grants Database under code BDNS 926968, is governed by the regulatory bases published in the BOP of Tarragona on June 18, 2021 (insertion 2021-5564). The document, signed by deputy secretary Jerónimo Rivas Gómez, has been published in a bilingual Catalan and Spanish version on pages 1 to 3 of the gazette.

Purpose and beneficiaries

The grants aim to provide financial collaboration for the funding of maintenance expenses and the implementation of activities with social content oriented towards prevention, intervention, assistance, rehabilitation, social integration, or the promotion of social welfare. Actions to promote the associative movement and social volunteering, as well as the addressing of serious deficiencies or social emergencies, are also covered.

Non-profit associations and legally constituted entities that meet the following requirements may apply:

  • Have their registered office in the town of Valls.
  • Participate in the social cohesion table and/or carry out coordinated actions with the Department of Community Action.
  • Be registered in the Registry of Entities of the Valls City Council.

Amount and procedure

A maximum amount of 11,500 euros is allocated for the granting of these subsidies, charged to budget item 20304.23100.48006 (Grants for third sector social entities). The awarding procedure will be through competitive public tender, and the credit may be expanded by an additional amount up to the same value, subject to a budget modification.

Eligible expenses must have been incurred between December 1, 2025, and November 30, 2026. The grant will be considered accepted if the beneficiary entity does not state otherwise within one month from the publication of the awarding resolution on the municipal electronic office.

Deadlines and submission

The deadline for submitting applications is 15 business days starting from the day after the publication of the call announcement in the BOP of Tarragona, and no application will be accepted after this date. Submission must be made mandatorily through the municipal electronic office https://seu.valls.cat.

Regarding the justification, beneficiary entities will have one month starting from the day after the publication of the award resolution on the corporation’s e-office, in accordance with the provisions of article 10 of the regulatory bases.

This call represents a new opportunity for the third sector of Valls, which depends on these grants to maintain its care programs for families, children, the elderly, people with disabilities, and other groups in situations of risk or social exclusion. Interested entities now have a period of fifteen business days to formalize their applications and ensure the continuity of their activities during the next fiscal year.
