The City Council of Valencia de Don Juan has approved the tax register for the fee for private use or special exploitation of the public domain for vehicle entry via sidewalks and exclusive parking reservations corresponding to the 2026 fiscal year. The resolution, signed by Mayor José Jiménez Martínez, establishes 1,379 charges and a total amount of municipal fees of 54,023.50 euros. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of León number 179, dated September 18, 2026, with the official reference BOP-LE-2026-179006.
Approval and content of the register
The approval was formalized through Mayoral Resolution number 2026-0642, dated September 16, 2026, processed under file 513/2026. The document taxes the entry of vehicles via sidewalks and the reservation of exclusive parking on public roads, figures linked to residential driveways.
The key figures of the register are as follows:
- 1,379 charges or receipts included.
- 54,023.50 euros in municipal fees.
- Fiscal year: 2026.
Collection deadlines and public exhibition
The voluntary collection period extends from September 21 to November 21, 2026. The register will be open for public inspection at the municipal offices for thirty business days starting the day after its publication in the gazette, during which time interested parties may examine it and file any claims they deem appropriate.
Inquiries are handled Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 14:00 hours, via personalized assistance. Interested parties must prove their status to access tax information, which is protected in accordance with Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights.
Appeals and effects of collection
Against the agreement, which concludes the administrative process, a motion for reconsideration may be filed prior to contentious-administrative proceedings before the same body that issued it, within one month from the day following its notification or publication. This is established by article 14.2 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the revised text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, in relation to article 108 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime.
In the event of an express or presumed dismissal of the motion for reconsideration, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed:
- Two months from the day following the notification of the express dismissal resolution.
- Six months from the day following the date on which the appeal must be understood as presumed dismissed.
- Competent body: the Contentious-Administrative Section of the Court of First Instance of León, in accordance with articles 8.1, 25.1, and 46.1 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction.
The filing of the appeal will not halt the debt collection procedure, unless suspension is requested and granted.
Impact for driveway permit holders
The registry directly affects the holders of driveways and exclusive parking reservations within the municipality, who must pay the fee within the voluntary period or, where applicable, file a claim before the document becomes final. Publication in the official bulletin marks the start of the calculation of the deadlines, both for payment and for challenging the agreement.
