Valdelacasa opens the concession of its elderly residence for public consultation

The Valdelacasa de Tajo City Council has opened for public review the reformulated Economic-Financial Feasibility Study for the future service concession for the completion of pending works, the commissioning, and the operation of the municipality’s Nursing Home and Day Center. This is established by a Mayoral Resolution dated August 26, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres (No. 0164, August 27, 2026).

The file remains open for citizen participation for a period of one month, starting from the day following the publication of the announcement, so that interested parties may examine the document and submit allegations before the competent body definitively approves the study.

Legal Framework and Processing

The public review is processed in accordance with articles 247.3, 285.2, and 297 of Law 9/2017, of November 8, on Public Sector Contracts, which regulate the feasibility study and prior consultation in service concession procedures. The announcement is inserted in Section I - Local Administration of the gazette, within the City Councils section.

During the exhibition period, the file and the full text of the study may be consulted:

• At the offices of the Valdelacasa de Tajo City Council, during public office hours.
• On the municipal electronic headquarters.

How to Submit Allegations

Within the same period, interested persons may formulate any allegations, observations, or suggestions they deem appropriate. Submission can be made:

• At the General Registry of the City Council.
• Through the municipal electronic headquarters.
• By any of the means provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.

Once the public information period has ended, the processing of the file will continue, and the subsequent approval of the study by the competent body will proceed, following an assessment of the allegations submitted.

A Key Health and Social Service for the Municipality

The concession will allow for the completion of pending works and the launch of the Nursing Home and Day Center, an essential health and social facility for the care of the elderly population of Valdelacasa de Tajo. The announcement, signed by the Mayor-President Juan Antonio Orgaz Rodríguez on August 21, 2026, is made public for general knowledge.

The opening of this procedure represents a decisive step in unlocking a project long awaited by the residents, who will see residential and day care guaranteed within their own municipality. Citizen participation during the exhibition month will be key to refining the conditions of the future concession before its final approval.
