Valdeaveruelo approves its 2026 budget of 1.45 million euros

The Valdeaveruelo City Council has definitively approved the General Budget and the Personnel Staffing for the 2026 fiscal year, with a total amount of 1,454,146.68 euros for both income and expenditure. The agreement, signed by the mayor Mr. Alberto Cortés Gómez on August 26, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara number 164, dated August 27, 2026.

The approval is carried out in accordance with article 169.3 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5. The budget is accompanied by two annexes: the first provides a summary of income and expenditure by chapters, and the second details the municipality’s personnel staffing.

A balanced budget by chapters

The document presents a balanced budget, in which income and expenditure coincide at 1,454,146.68 euros. On the income side, the largest item corresponds to direct taxes, followed by current transfers and fees.

Regarding expenditure, the bulk is concentrated in current expenses and the personnel chapter, while real investments reach 186,090.82 euros.

Municipal personnel staffing

Annex II details the staffing of the council, which combines civil servant positions and contractual staff. Among the civil servants are the Secretary-Auditor and the Deputy Secretary-Auditor, both from group A1, as well as two Administrative Assistant positions from group D, all of which are filled.

Contractual staff include two Multi-Service Operator positions and one Cleaner position, all from group E and filled, although two of them are pending regularization of their appointment through a selection process. The budget also includes the remuneration for the Mayor’s Office, with a salary of 1,194.43 euros per month (14,333.16 euros annually), a partial dedication of 30%, and social security costs of 4,729.94 euros.

Appeal period for residents

Pursuant to Article 171 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, interested parties may file a contentious-administrative appeal within a period of two months starting from the day following the publication of this announcement. The appeal may be filed for the reasons and by the interested parties indicated in Article 170 of the same regulation, as well as Article 63 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime.

The final publication of the budget provides legal certainty to municipal spending for the entire 2026 fiscal year and allows residents to know the destination of the municipality’s public resources, as well as to exercise their right to challenge the agreement if they deem it appropriate.
