Vacancy of the position of Director General of ENSAM announced in the Official Journal

The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Space published in the Official Journal of the French Republic No. 0211 of September 10, 2026, a notice declaring the position of Director General of the Ecole nationale supérieure d’arts et métiers (ENSAM) vacant. The position will be vacant as of February 27, 2027. A leadership position at a leading engineering school

ENSAM, a renowned generalist engineering school, trains engineers across several campuses in France. The Director General is chosen, in accordance with Article 5 of Decree No. 2012-1223 of November 2, 2012, as amended by Decrees No. 2015-40 of January 20, 2015, and No. 2016-952 of July 11, 2016, from among the personnel qualified to teach at the school.

The Director General is appointed by decree upon the report of the Minister in charge of higher education, following the opinion of the board of directors. The term of office is five years, renewable once.

• a statement of intent;
• a project for the institution.

Within the same timeframe, a copy of the file must be sent to the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Space, Directorate General for Higher Education and Professional Integration, by email to the address contrat@enseignementsup.gouv.fr.

Prior to appointment, the duties of Director General are subject to the submission of a declaration of interests, in accordance with Articles L. 122-2 et seq. of the General Code of the Civil Service. This declaration will be requested from the candidate selected by the board of directors.
