Utiel opens for public comment the review of a broiler poultry farm

The Third Vice-Presidency and Department of Environment, Infrastructure, Territory and Recovery of the Generalitat Valenciana has submitted for public review the file for the revision of the integrated environmental authorization of a poultry broiler farm located in the municipality of Utiel. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) number 10439, dated August 28, 2026, and opens a period of thirty business days for any natural or legal person to submit any allegations they deem appropriate.

The procedure is based on articles 16.3 and 15.5.a) of Royal Decree 815/2013, of October 18, which approves the Industrial Emissions Regulation and the development of Law 16/2002, of July 1, on integrated pollution prevention and control. The competent body to authorize the project is the Directorate General for Environmental Quality and Education.

How to participate in the procedure

The period for allegations is thirty business days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the DOGV. During this period, any natural or legal person may examine the documentation relating to the file on the web portal “Files under public information processing,” within the Integrated Pollution Control section of the Environmental Quality Area of the Generalitat Valenciana.

In accordance with article 83 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the common administrative procedure of public administrations, appearance in the procedure does not in itself grant the status of an interested party. However, those who submit allegations or observations have the right to obtain a reasoned response from the Administration, which may be common for all those allegations that raise substantially identical issues.
