Universities certify dozens of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in La Gaceta

La Gaceta, Official Gazette No. 172 of Tuesday, September 22, 2026, published in its Universities section the registration of dozens of professional degrees granted by public and private universities in the country. The certificates, identified by references Reg. 2026-TP20724 to Reg. 2026-TP20810, provide official publicity to the degrees and validate the professional practice of the graduates. The edition includes two degree replacements due to deterioration.

The certificates were issued by the Academic Registry offices of each educational institution, in compliance with Law 89, Law of Autonomy of Higher Education Institutions, and its consolidated reforms in Law 1092, as well as the resolutions of the National Council of Universities (CNU). Each document records the number, folio, and volume of the corresponding degree book and warns that it shall be published by the holder “for publicity of the rights and prerogatives that legally correspond to them.”

Edition No. 172, corresponding to Year CXXX, has 48 pages and a print run of 395 copies; the summary locates the Professional Degrees block on page 9233.

URACCAN certifies 27 degrees on the Caribbean Coast

The University of the Autonomous Regions of the Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast (URACCAN) registered 27 degrees under registrations Reg. 2026-TP20724 to Reg. 2026-TP20750, recorded in Volume LI of the Undergraduate Degree Registry Book. The certificates were signed in Puerto Cabezas, RACCN, on July 2, 2026, by the rector Ilenia Arllery García Peralta and the general secretary Sesiah Lizani Davis Gram, with the certification of the Director of Academic Registry, Marcia Watler Reyes.

Among the degrees are:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Intercultural Nursing with a mention in Hygiene and Epidemiology, in the name of Nayelis Suhey Rodríguez López (Reg. 2026-TP20724), Dania Estela Hernández Rocha, and Yaritza Lidied Fernández Salazar, among others.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education Sciences with mentions in History, Social Sciences, English, and Hispanic Language and Literature, in favor of Bladimir Alexander Padilla Martínez, Paula Allen Guillermo, and Marbely Day Moody.
• Secondary Education Professorship and Higher Technician in Intercultural Nursing, for Kathy Yolany Toledo Ocampo, Neydi Yareli Díaz González, Keyling Jaritza Salguera Siles, and Jessenia Adalila Jarquín Díaz.

The UNI registers nearly 60 engineering degrees

The National University of Engineering (UNI) concentrated the largest volume of the session, with nearly 60 certifications between Reg. 2026-TP20751 and Reg. 2026-TP20810. The degrees correspond to the knowledge areas of Industry and Production, Agriculture, and Architecture and Construction, and were authorized by the rector Ma. Marcela Carolina Galán Gaitán and the general secretary Suyen Elena Córdoba Chamorro, with certification from the director of the Academic Registry Department, Luisa Massiel Mercado Gutiérrez.

The registered degrees are:

• Industrial Engineering, with Juan Manuel Pereira Alaniz (Reg. 2026-TP20804), Roberto Carlos Sequeira Ortega, Marvin Antonio Cruz Tapia, Cecilia Alejandra Noguera García, Ángel David Amador Aragón, Mayerling Karina Martínez Aguirre, John Kenneth Zelaya Fonseca, Derek José Rivas García and José David Cano Jaime, among others.
• Electrical Engineering, for Gustavo Adolfo Arana Boza, Cristopher Enoc Álvarez Flores, Rafael Antonio Pérez Aguilar, Calvin Enmanuel Bobadilla Pou and Russell David Sequeira Reyes.
• Chemical Engineering, with Álvaro Antonio Chamorro Calixto, María Lily Pérez Gómez, Yaritza del Carmen Ramírez Velásquez and Braulio Jonathan Tapia Delgado; Civil Engineering, in favor of Jean Carlos Pavón Martínez and Nahomi Jazmín Bodán Barrios; and Mechanical Engineering, for José Adrián Picado Castillo and César Omar Useda Arévalo.

UNAN-Managua, UNP and other educational institutions

The block also includes certifications from the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua, Managua (UNAN-Managua), signed by the director of Student Academic Registry and Statistics, Hilda María Gómez Lacayo, and by the rectors Ramona Rodríguez Pérez and Telma de la Cruz López Briceño. Among the degrees are Medicine, Nursing in Public Health and Critical Care, Anesthesia and Resuscitation, Nutrition, Clinical Bioanalysis, Architecture, Psychology, Public Accounting and Finance, and Educational Sciences.

Other institutions with registered degrees are:

• National Polytechnic University (UNP): Bachelor’s in Economics and Business to Pedro de Jesús Falcón Ruíz (Reg. 2026-TP19185), with registration Number 23521, Folio 252, Volume XXI.
• National Autonomous University of Nicaragua, León (UNAN-León), with certifications signed by the rector Ana Cecilia Chévez and the Director of Academic Registry Ronal José Canales Ruíz.
• Antonio de Valdivieso International University (UNIAV): Higher Technician in Agricultural Sciences for José Rafael Mayorga Montealegre and Isaac Rafael Pineda Rodríguez; International University of the Integration of Latin America (UNIVAL): Bachelor’s in Psychology to Lucia Monge Velazquez.
• Central University of Nicaragua (UCN): master’s degrees in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Process Management, Occupational Risk Prevention, and Human Talent Management; Martin Luther University (UML): Bachelor’s in English to Esther Nohemi Cantillano González.
• Degrees were also registered by the Casimiro Sotelo Montenegro National University (UNCSM), the University of Northern Nicaragua (UNN), the Cardinal Miguel Obando Bravo University (UNICA), the Americana University (UAM), and the Bluefields Indian & Caribbean University (BICU).

Two degree replacements due to deterioration

The edition includes two notices of degree replacement, both from URACCAN and requested due to the deterioration of the original document. Interested parties may object within a period of five days starting from the date of publication.

• Reg. 2026-TP20749: replacement of the Secondary Education Teacher’s Degree with a specialization in Hispanic Language and Literature issued by URACCAN on January 20, 2026, in the name of Carolina Herrera García.
• Reg. 2026-TP20750: replacement of the same degree issued by URACCAN on April 3, 2023, in the name of Omar Antonio Duarte Ríos.

Publication in La Gaceta is the step that provides official publicity to the degrees and enables graduates to practice their profession with the prerogatives granted to them by law. For readers, the list serves as a verifiable public record: it allows for the verification of the number, folio, and volume of a degree and, in the case of replacements, to object within the established timeframe.
