One million euros to renew the equipment of the CEIS firefighters

The Consortium for the Prevention, Firefighting, Civil Protection and Rescue Service of the province of Guadalajara (CEIS Guadalajara) has finalized credit modification number 04/2026 of its general budget, endowed with 1,000,000 euros financed by treasury surplus. The agreement, adopted by the consortium’s Governing Council on July 28, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara number 160, dated August 21, 2026.

The final approval occurs as no allegations were presented during the public exhibition period, in accordance with article 169.1 by referral of 177.2 of the Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Revised Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries. The operation is processed as a credit supplement and extraordinary credit, fully financed by the treasury surplus for general expenses.

Destination of the investment

The bulk of the allocation is destined for the renovation and expansion of the material resources of the provincial firefighting service. The breakdown by budgetary applications is as follows:

• Transport elements (application 136 624): €377,707.50 as a credit supplement.
• Machinery, technical installations and tooling (application 136 62300): €525,492.45 as extraordinary credit.
• Land and natural assets (application 136 62100): €96,800.00 as extraordinary credit.

The total amount of the expenditure increases amounts to €1,000,000.00, which is offset by the application of income 87000 (Treasury Surplus for General Expenses) for the same amount.

Legal framework and appeals

Financing with treasury surplus allows the consortium to undertake these investments without resorting to new debt, within the framework of budgetary stability regulations. Against the agreement, interested parties may file a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Castilla-La Mancha, within two months from the day following the publication of the announcement, as provided in article 171 by referral of 179.4 of the aforementioned revised text.

The document appears signed in Guadalajara on August 20, 2026, by the president of the consortium, José Luis Vega Pérez.

The injection of one million euros represents a significant reinforcement for the vehicle fleet and machinery of the provincial fire extinguishing service, which serves the municipalities of the province of Guadalajara. The renovation of transport elements and technical equipment, along with the acquisition of land, expands the operational capacity of the CEIS in the face of emergencies and accidents, key equipment for civil protection and rescue within the territory.
