UFD expropriará terreos en Ferrol e A Coruña para liñas eléctricas

The Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña publishes this Friday, 14 August 2026, two agreements from the Territorial Department of A Coruña of the Department of Economy and Industry of the Xunta de Galicia whereby the date is set for drafting the preliminary records prior to the occupation of assets affected by electrical installations of UFD Distribución Electricidad, SA. The proceedings will be held on 9 October in the municipality of Ferrol and on 13 October in the municipality of A Coruña, with the imposition of electrical energy passage easements over the properties included in the list of affected parties. The official references of the announcements are 2026/5330 and 2026/5343.

Both actions have a declaration of public utility, which implicitly entails the urgent occupation of the assets and rights, granted by resolution of the territorial department. The procedure is processed in accordance with articles 52 of the Expropriation Act of 16 December 1954, and 56 of its Regulations of 26 April 1957. The beneficiary entity, UFD Distribución Electricidad, SA, has its address at Avenida de Arteixo, 171, in A Coruña.

Ferrol: amendment of line SMR706

The agreement signed on 7 August 2026 affects the installation named Amendment I for the regularisation of LMTA SMR706 between supports 104-12 and 104-16 CT Confurco, in the municipality of Ferrol, processed under file IN407A 2022/388-1. The declaration of public utility comes from the resolution of the territorial department of 5 May 2026.

• Date of the preliminary records prior to occupation: 9 October 2026, at the office of the town hall of Ferrol.
• Prior public information: DOG of 13.3.2026, BOP of 24.2.2026, and the newspaper La Voz de Galicia of 10.3.2026.

A Coruña: telecontrol of the Galileo Galilei centre

The second agreement, of 10 August 2026, corresponds to the installation Replacement of CS Galileo Galilei 21 D-15CVD4 for the installation of telecontrol, in the municipality of A Coruña, under file IN407A 2024/107-1, with a declaration of public utility of 19 April 2026.

• Date of the preliminary records prior to occupation: 13 October 2026, at the town hall of the A Coruña City Council.
• Prior public information: DOG of 11.2.2026, BOP of 26.1.2026, and La Voz de Galicia of 28.1.2026.

What affected parties must do

Owners or holders of rights over the properties proposed as affected must attend the proceedings for drawing up the records, in which the expropriable assets or rights and the passage easement to be imposed will be described. They will receive individual notification with the schedules for data collection on the site and for the subsequent actual drawing up of the records.

When the affected persons are unknown, the place of notification is unknown or, after attempted notification, it cannot be carried out, the summons shall be published in the single edicts board (TEU) of the Official State Gazette. Both agreements are signed by the territorial director of A Coruña, Isidoro Martínez Arca.

The publication of these agreements sets in motion the expropriation phase of two electricity distribution infrastructures: the regulation of the medium voltage line SMR706 in Ferrol and the modernisation with remote control of the transformer centre on Galileo Galilei Street in A Coruña. For the affected owners, the act of prior minutes is the first step to establish the fair price of the properties and easements, so their attendance is key to protecting their rights in the file.
