Three companies enter preventive bankruptcy proceedings and one bankruptcy is decreed

The Official Gazette of the Argentine Republic publishes this August 18, 2026, the opening of the preventive reorganization proceedings (concursos preventivos) of Frigorífico Jerona SRL, JF Servicios SRL, and DSI Constructora SRL, as well as the bankruptcy of a de facto partnership. The national commercial courts of the City of Buenos Aires set deadlines for creditors to verify their claims in accordance with the Bankruptcy and Reorganization Law (LCQ).

The resolutions are framed within Law 24,522, which regulates the verification of claims (art. 32), the individual and general reports (arts. 35 and 39), and the exclusivity period (art. 43). The notices are communicated for a term of five days in the official gazette.

Three preventive reorganizations in progress

• Frigorífico Jerona SRL (CUIT 30-50255757-9): opening decreed on 07/13/2026 in case file 13032/2026, before the National Commercial Court No. 29, presided over by judge Hernán Diego Papa; appointed trustee, accountant Marcela A. Singer.
• JF Servicios SRL (CUIT 30-71519597-2): filing on 06/19/2025 and opening on 07/13/2026 in case file 12973/2026, before the National Commercial Court No. 8, presided over by judge Javier J. Cosentino; trustee, Adrián Marcelo Ostrovsky.
• DSI Constructora SRL (CUIT 30-71607404-4): filing on 07/02/2026 and opening on 07/16/2026 in case file 13924/2026, before the National Commercial Court No. 24, presided over by judge Guillermo Mario Pesaresi; trustee, D’Atri-Petruzzello y Asociados.

Deadlines to verify claims

Creditors must present their supporting titles within the deadlines set in each opening order:

• Frigorífico Jerona: until 09/29/2026, in physical format.
• JF Servicios: until 09/25/2026, in digital format according to the protocol of the opening order.
• DSI Constructora: until 11/19/2026, with digital submission for creditors with legal assistance and submission to the trusteeship for those without.

In all three cases, an informative hearing and a report calendar are set: for Frigorífico Jerona, hearing on 07/12/2027 and expiration of the exclusivity period on 08/02/2027; for JF Servicios, individual report on 11/09/2026, general report on 12/29/2026, and hearing on 07/05/2027; for DSI Constructora, individual report on 02/12/2027, general report on 03/30/2027, hearing on 09/16/2027, and exclusivity until 09/24/2027.

Bankruptcy of a de facto partnership

The National Commercial Court No. 15, presided over by Judge Marta G. Cirulli, decreed on 08/07/2026 the bankruptcy of Álvarez Hermanos de Marisa, Agustina y Adrián Álvarez y Dora Olmo Sociedad de Hecho (CUIT 30-71467046-4), in case file 12505/2023. Creditors subsequent to the bankruptcy filing (of 07/06/2023) may verify their credits before the trustee Gonzalo Daniel Cueva until 10/19/2026. The bankrupt party and third parties are summoned to surrender the assets subject to divestment; payments to the bankrupt party are prohibited, and the party is required to surrender books and documentation within 24 hours.

Commercial and labor impact

The opening of these proceedings affects suppliers, customers, and workers of companies in the meatpacking, services, and construction sectors. Creditors who do not verify their credits within the established deadlines could lose their right to participate in the distribution of assets, making the publication in the official gazette key to safeguarding their interests.
