The Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña (number 168, of September 3, 2026) publishes the calls for school grants in Rianxo, Touro, and Valdoviño for the 2026-27 academic year. The three councils are allocating a total of €31,600 in aid for school supplies, electronic devices, and transport, aimed at families in situations of vulnerability.

The three calls respond to the principle of equality in the exercise of the right to education and aim to compensate families with greater economic difficulties in facing schooling expenses. In the case of Touro, the grants are part of the POS+2026 provincial plan of the Provincial Council of A Coruña, approved on November 28, 2025.

Rianxo: €10,000 for devices and materials

The Council of Rianxo approved the bases and the call through an agreement of the Local Government Board on August 20, 2026 (announcements 2026/5687 and 2026/5689, BDNS 926971), signed by Mayor Julián Bustelo Abuín. The maximum budget is €10,000, of which €2,000 are allocated to electronic devices and €8,000 to school materials, clothing, and sports equipment.

  • Electronic devices: 75% of the invoice, up to €300.
  • School materials: up to €50.
  • Clothing and sports equipment: up to €75.

Families with minors registered in Rianxo who are enrolled in early childhood education or compulsory education at a center in the municipality and whose income does not exceed 1.5 times the IPREM may apply. The deadline is 15 business days from the publication in the BOP.

Touro: €9,600 funded by POS+2026

The Council of Touro approved the bases in the session of the Local Government Board on August 27, 2026 (file 2026/A002/000004, announcement 2026/5685). The program, funded through the POS+Additional 1/2026 of the Provincial Council, has a budget of €9,600.

  • 30 grants of up to €120 for students in compulsory education or early childhood education.
  • 20 grants of up to €300 for students in non-compulsory education.

The grants cover expenses for common and complementary materials, outerwear, and footwear. The income limit is 2 times the IPREM of 14 payments (€8,400 annually).

Valdoviño: €12,000 for materials and transport

The Council of Valdoviño calls for subsidies for family support measures for study materials and transport 2026 (announcement 2026/5700, BDNS 927035), with bases approved by the Local Government Board on August 25, 2026, and signed by Mayor Alberto González Fernández. The maximum credit is €12,000.

  • School materials: for minors up to 23 years old enrolled in early childhood, primary, secondary, baccalaureate, vocational training (FP), or public universities in Galicia.
  • School transport: for families with children in baccalaureate and FP from nearby councils and adults pursuing university studies.

The application period is 10 calendar days from the publication of the extract in the BOP.

These three calls, published on the same day in the BOP of A Coruña, total €31,600 in public investment to ensure that no minor drops out of their studies for economic reasons. Interested families must submit their applications within the deadlines and at the locations enabled by each municipality.
