Tres Cantos opens environmental employment and a sports technician pool

The Tres Cantos City Council has approved two public employment calls published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid (BOCM) number 199, dated August 21, 2026, within section III of Local Administration. These consist of the provision by free appointment of a position for Head of the Environment Service and the creation of an employment pool for Sports Technicians for interim civil service personnel.

Both calls were promoted by the first deputy mayor through respective decrees and signed by the delegated councilwoman for Human Resources, Ana Isabel Pérez Baos. The first is based on Decree 2026/3798, dated August 4, 2026, and the second on Decree 2026/3875, dated August 12, 2026.

Head of the Environment Service

The call for the position of Head of the Environment Service is resolved through the free appointment procedure, open to civil servants from other Public Administrations. The position has the following characteristics:

• Qualification subgroup: A1.
• Destination supplement level: 26.
• Specific supplement: 1,575.77 euros per month.
• Scale: Special Administration, Technical sub-scale, Senior Technical class.

To participate, applicants must be career civil servants of any Public Administration, belong to Subgroup A1, and hold a degree in Agricultural Engineering or Environmental Sciences. The duties of the position include directing and coordinating service personnel, the environmental management of municipal facilities, the preparation of reports and technical specifications, and the control of green area maintenance and tree felling.

Deadlines and Processing

Applications may be submitted within a period of fifteen business days starting from the day following the publication of the call in the Official State Gazette, at the General Registry of the City Council or through the channels provided for in Law 39/2015. The application must be accompanied by a curriculum vitae detailing the alleged merits and, in the case of civil servants from another Administration, a certificate from the destination unit.

The resolution of the process will be the responsibility of the first deputy mayor within a period of two months from the end of the submission period, following a report from the councilwoman for Human Resources. An appeal for reversal may be filed against the resolution within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal within two months.

Employment pool for Sports Technicians

The second call regulates the establishment of an employment pool for Sports Technicians for interim civil servant personnel of the City Council, which will be resolved through a merit-based competition procedure. The pool will serve to cover temporary staffing needs in the municipal sports area, and subsequent announcements will be published on the Notice Board of the Electronic Office of the Tres Cantos City Council.
