Trece opositores a Letrados de Cantabria se examinan desde el día 14

The Legal Corps of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria now has a final list of candidates and an examination schedule. The Ministry of Presidency, Justice, Security, and Administrative Simplification has resolved to approve the final list of admitted persons—thirteen in total—and declare that there are no excluded candidates. The first eliminatory exercise will be held on December 14, 15, and 16, 2026, at the administrative building of the Government of Cantabria, located at calle Peña Herbosa, 29, in Santander. The resolution is published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 211, dated November 3, 2026, with reference CVE-2026-8587.

From the appeals period to the tribunal

The resolution arrives once the deadline for appeals against the provisional list of admitted and excluded persons has closed, and concludes the requirement verification phase. The process was convened by Order PRE/57/2026, dated June 2, published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 110, dated June 10.

The document was signed in Santander on October 29, 2026, by the Director General of Public Service, Isabel Barragán Bohigas, acting by delegation of the regional minister in accordance with the Resolution of December 18, 2018. The resolution ends the administrative route and orders its transfer to the Official Gazette of Cantabria and its subsequent inclusion on the public employment website of the Government of Cantabria.

Composition of the Qualifying Tribunal

The resolution also designates the members of the Qualifying Tribunal for the selection process, with the following configuration:

  • Presidency: Javier Uribe Mendieta.
  • Alternate Presidency: María Carmen Fernández Sánchez.
  • Full Members: María de la Paz Hidalgo Bermejo, Francisco Javier Dávila González, Rafael Losada Armada, and Carlos Soto Carranceja.
  • Secretariat, with voice and specific functions: María Carmen García Cuevas.
  • Alternate Members: Jaime Francisco Anta González, Jorge Luis Tomillo Urbina, Francisco José Alejandro Román Ayllón, and Pablo Graiño García.
  • Alternate Secretariat: María Begoña Muñoz Divar.

Three afternoons of roll call in the Videoconference Room

The exercise will be held in the Videoconference Room located on the first floor of the Peña Herbosa building, with roll call at 4:30 p.m. on each of the three days. Candidates must attend provided with a valid National Identity Document. The order of appearance is as follows:

  • December 14, 4:30 p.m.: María Teresa Valiña Martínez, Jana Anillo Sierra, Keisy Madeleine Cajaleón Herrera, Marta Camarero Orive and María Carpio Guijarro.
  • December 15, 4:30 p.m.: Francisco Julio Dosal Gómez, Samuel Fernández Choren, Ruth Galonce Barbero and José Elpidio Gutiérrez López.
  • December 16, 4:30 p.m.: María Luisa Hernández Martínez, Nuria Molina Santos, Sara Rodríguez Ordóñez and Inés Clara Sagarra Martín.

Two months to pursue judicial action

An administrative appeal may be filed against the resolution before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Cantabria within two months from the day following its publication, pursuant to Article 46 of Law 29/1998. Optionally, a request for reversal may be submitted to the same body that issued the resolution within one month, in which case judicial action cannot be pursued until there is an express resolution or presumed dismissal, in accordance with Articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015.

The call thus moves toward its decisive test with a reduced census and no definitive exclusions, clearing the uncertainty for the thirteen candidates regarding their participation. For the applicants, the appointment is set for three consecutive afternoons in December in Santander, with a finalized tribunal and an individual calling schedule that allows no changes.
