Por FactBox Admin

The Plenary of the Tortuero City Council, in an ordinary session held on August 26, 2026, agreed to the provisional approval of the modification of the Fiscal Ordinance regulating the waste collection tax (garbage). The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara number 166, dated Monday, August 31, 2026, and opens a thirty-day public information period for interested parties to examine the file and submit allegations.

A procedure that affects the bill of all residents

The modification of the fiscal ordinance directly impacts the receipt paid by the residents of Tortuero for the waste collection service; therefore, the outcome of the procedure will determine the amount of the tax in future fiscal years. The file is processed in accordance with the provisions of Article 17.2 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5.

Deadline for allegations and consultation of the file

The file is subject to public information for a period of thirty days, counted from the day following the insertion of the announcement in the provincial gazette. During this period, interested parties may:

  • Examine the complete file of the ordinance modification.
  • Submit any claims and suggestions they deem appropriate.
  • Consult the documentation on the City Council’s electronic office, at the address tortuero.sedelectronica.es.

Entry into force and final approval

If no claims are submitted after the public information period has elapsed, the provisional approval agreement will be elevated to final, and the ordinance will enter into force on the day of its full publication in the B.O.P. The announcement appears signed by the mayor, Mr. Ismael Moreno Moreno, in Tortuero, on August 26, 2026.

The modification of the waste collection tax is a procedure of particular relevance for the residents of Tortuero, as any change in the ordinance will translate directly into the amount of the service bill. Citizen participation during the allegations period is the means by which those affected can assert their observations before the regulation is definitively approved.
