Torroella deregzones a plot of 1,290 m² to cede it to the Natural Park

The City Council of Torroella de Montgrí has opened for public information the file for the decommissioning of the public domain of a 1,290 m² plot that is intended to be sold directly to the Administration of the Generalitat de Catalunya to be used as the headquarters of the Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter Natural Park. The procedure was established by mayoral decree no. 3225/2026, of September 12, 2026, and is published in edict 8240 of the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona no. 186, of September 28, 2026, with the official reference CVE BOP-2026_0_186_8240.

The measure involves altering the legal classification of the asset, which changes from public domain to patrimonial, a previous and necessary step in order to be able to sell it. The file is being processed with a view to direct alienation in favor of the Generalitat and is resolved according to the procedure provided for the disposal of assets of local entities.

A plot between Font dels Capellans street and the GI-641

The plot subject to the file is number 23470 of the Property Registry of La Bisbal d’Empordà, with the following identifying data:

• Registered area: 1,289.80 m² (1,290 m² according to the cadastre).
• Cadastral reference: 1446804EG1514N0001DG.
• Unique registration code (CRU): 17007000675412.
• Location: between Font dels Capellans street and the GI-641 road, in the municipality of Torroella de Montgrí.

The property is located on urban land and its decommissioning does not alter its physical nature or municipal ownership until the sale is formalized.

Twenty business days to examine the file and file objections

The procedure is framed within article 20.2 of the Regulation of the Heritage of Local Entities, approved by Decree 336/1988, of October 17. The regulations establish a period of public exhibition that the edict specifies in the following terms:

• Deadline: twenty business days, counted from the day after the publication of the edict in the BOP of Girona.
• In-person consultation: Corporate Secretariat, at plaça de la Vila, 1, Torroella de Montgrí, during office hours.
• Electronic consultation: municipal electronic office.
• Objections: those that interested parties consider appropriate during this period.

Once the public information period has expired, the file will be resolved by the Plenary of the corporation.

No change in urban use

The edict specifies that the decommissioning does not entail any modification of the urban classification of the plot, which maintains the status of a public equipment system with key E of the PGMO. This means that the future use of the property remains linked to equipment, in this case, to the activity of the natural park.

The document is signed by the mayor, Jordi Colomí Massanas, with a signature date of September 18, 2026, and is also signed by the Provincial Council of Girona as the publisher of the gazette.

The news is of interest to residents and property owners in the area because it opens a period during which anyone can examine the file and submit allegations, and because it consolidates the institutional presence of the Natural Park in the municipality with its own headquarters on urban land.
