Torroella approves the lightning protection system for the Montgrí Castle

The City Council of Torroella de Montgrí has definitively approved the project for the installation of a lightning protection system at the Montgrí Castle, with a contract budget of 37,851.84 euros, VAT included. The decision is formalized through Mayoral Decree number 3259, dated September 15, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona number 185, dated September 25, 2026, under edict 8205 and official reference BOP-2026_0_185_8205.

The edict corresponds to the definitive approval of a municipal ordinary works project titled “Project for the installation of a lightning protection system at Montgrí Castle,” processed under file 182651H. The act concludes the administrative process and is made public for general knowledge in accordance with article 38.2 of Decree 179/1995, of June 13, which approves the Regulation of works, activities, and services of local entities of Catalonia.

Deadline to appeal the resolution

Against the resolution, which is definitive, interested parties have the following avenues for appeal:

• Contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Girona, within a period of two months starting from the day following the publication.
• Optional appeal for reversal before the body that issued the act, within a period of one month from the day following the publication.
• If one month passes from the filing of the appeal for reversal without an express notified resolution, it is understood to be dismissed; the contentious-administrative appeal may then be filed within a period of six months.

All this without prejudice to any other appeal or claim that the interested parties consider appropriate to file.
