Torreperogil appoints the only candidate who passed the competitive examination as a career civil servant

The City Council of Torreperogil (Jaén) has formalized the appointment of Ana Vico Reyes as a career civil servant of the General Administration scale, Technical subscale, superior class, group A and subgroup A1. The decision, adopted via Mayoral Resolution No. 2026-1090 of August 20, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén number 163, of August 24, 2026, page 12968.

The announcement is signed by the acting mayor, Juan Francisco Torres Guerrero, exercising the powers conferred by the Decree of July 28, 2026.

A selection process with a single successful applicant

The list of successful candidates from the selection process convened for the provision of one position as General Administration Technician was published in the BOP of Jaén number 159, of August 18, 2026. It follows from this that Ana Vico Reyes (ID *1426) was the only applicant to pass the two competitive examination exercises, leading to the proposal of her appointment.

• First exercise: 23.55 points.
• Second exercise: 37.90 points.

After verifying the supporting documentation of the capacity conditions and requirements demanded in the call, the Mayor’s Office resolved to make the appointment in her favor.

Regulatory framework and taking office

The appointment is based on article 21.1.h) of Law 7/1985, of April 2, on the Bases of the Local Regime; article 136 of the Recast Text of the legal provisions in force regarding the Local Regime, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 781/1986, of April 18; and article 7 of Royal Decree 896/1991, of June 7, which establishes the basic rules and minimum programs for the selection procedure of civil servants of the Local Administration.

To acquire the status of career civil servant, the interested party must take an oath or promise to abide by the Constitution and the current legal system and take office:

• Within a period of three business days, if it does not involve a change of residence.
• Within a period of one month, if it involves a change of residence.

Before taking office, she must certify that she does not hold any position nor carry out any activity in the public sector as included in article 1 of Law 53/1984, of December 26, on incompatibilities of personnel in the service of public administrations.

Appeals and publicity

Against the resolution, interested parties may file an optional appeal for reversal before the City Council within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Section of the Court of First Instance of Jaén within two months, in accordance with Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the common administrative procedure. The appointment is also published on the electronic office of the City Council (torreperogil.sedelectronica.es).

Relevance of the appointment

The consolidation of this General Administration Technician position, level A1, reinforces a key post within the administrative structure of the Torreperogil City Council, guaranteeing the stable coverage of a senior technical function of the local administration following a competitive selection process.
