Torrelavega changes the alternate president of the Police Officers tribunal
Por FactBox Admin

The Torrelavega City Council has modified the composition of the Evaluation Tribunal for the selection process to fill, via internal promotion and through a competitive examination process, eight positions for Local Police Officer. The decision corresponds to the Mayor’s Office-Presidency, which adopted it by Resolution number 2026005145, dated September 22, 2026. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 187, dated September 29, 2026, with the official reference CVE-2026-7492 and under file 70V/2026.
The framework of the call
The regulatory bases of the call were approved by agreement of the Local Government Board in the session of February 16, 2026. Initially, they provided for seven Police Officer positions, framed within the Special Administration scale, Special Services subscale, Local Police class, and classified in qualification group C1.
The call was later expanded to eight positions through the Mayor’s Office-Presidency Resolution number 2026001914, dated July 24. The bases were published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 36, dated February 23, 2026, and the expansion in number 80, dated April 28, 2026.
The change in the Evaluation Tribunal
The now-published resolution modifies the Mayor’s Office-Presidency Resolution number 2026004012, dated July 24, regarding the composition of the members of the Evaluation Tribunal. The change affects only the alternate Presidency:
- Enrique Sáez Trigueros, acting chief of the Local Police Force, remains as the titular president.
- Aitor Alcorta Puente, Local Police officer, ceases to be the alternate president.
- Julio Fernández Díaz, Local Police officer, takes over the alternate Presidency.
Publicity and communication to applicants
In accordance with article 45.1.a) of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, the means of communicating acts, agreements, and resolutions of the selection process to interested parties is the posting on the Municipal Electronic Notice Board.
The resolution appears signed in Torrelavega on September 24, 2026, by the mayor-president, Javier López Estrada.
The adjustment of the selection body comes while the process is already underway and directly affects applicants competing via internal promotion, who must follow the successive publications on the municipal electronic notice board to learn about summons and the testing calendar. The replacement of the alternate president seeks to guarantee the constitution and functioning of the Tribunal in all its sessions, an indispensable requirement so that the eight Local Police Officer positions can be resolved without delays.
