Torrefarrera announces a competitive examination for two Brigade Officer positions

The Torrefarrera City Council has approved, through Mayoral Decree no. 406/2026 of August 20, 2026, the regulatory bases and the call for the selection process to fill two positions of Brigade Official (group C2) of the labor staff, as well as the creation of a job bank. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lleida no. 161, edict 7179, of August 24, 2026 (CVE BOP-2026_0_161_7179), in compliance with article 76 of Decree 214/1990, of July 30.
The process is framed within the Public Employment Offers of the years 2023 and 2025. The 2023 OPO was published in the BOP of Lleida no. 248 of December 29, 2023 and in the DOGC no. 9074 of January 8, 2024, while the 2025 OPO was published in the BOP of Lleida no. 106 of June 5, 2025 and in the DOGC no. 9433 of June 13, 2025. The called positions are vacancies in the council’s labor staff.
Position characteristics and requirements
The Brigade Official positions are called under the permanent labor staff regime, with full-time hours, destination supplement level 16 and a general specific supplement of €425.42 per month. The position requires a class B driver’s license and the performance of maintenance, construction, gardening, masonry, electricity, lamp-fitting, painting tasks and works on public roads and municipal facilities.
To participate, the following requirements must be met on the date of the deadline for submitting applications:
- Hold Spanish nationality or that of a member state of the European Union, or the cases of free movement of workers.
- Have reached 16 years of age and not exceed the compulsory retirement age.
- Possess a graduate degree in Compulsory Secondary Education or equivalent.
- Hold a class B driver’s license.
- Accredit level B1 of the Catalan language, or pass the specific Catalan test.
Deadline and submission of applications
The deadline for submitting applications will be 20 calendar days starting from the day after the last publication of the announcement in the official gazettes (DOGC and BOP of Lleida). Applications can be submitted in person at the municipal offices, electronically via the electronic office or by mail, and a fee of 30 euros must be paid for examination rights.
Selection process and job bank
The selection system is that of an open competitive examination (concurs oposició), with a maximum total score of 97 points. The examination phase includes a mandatory and eliminatory practical test valued up to 65 points (minimum of 33 to pass), and the merit phase evaluates professional experience (up to 22 points) and complementary training (up to 8 points), in addition to an optional curricular interview of up to 2 points. Selected individuals must complete a internship period of 6 months before being hired as permanent contractual staff.
The job bank, which will be established by express resolution, will be valid for four years and will serve to agilely cover temporary staffing needs for the category. The order of call will be based on the score obtained, and unjustified refusals will result in the loss of position or exclusion from the job bank. The qualifying tribunal will be chaired by the council’s Environment technician, with members from permanent contractual staff C2 and a representative from the School of Public Administration of Catalonia.
