Torredonjimeno recognizes the dedication of the Local Police Chief
Por FactBox Admin

The Plenary of the Torredonjimeno City Council (Jaén) has initially approved, in a session held on July 30, 2026, the modification of the Staffing Table (RPT) which increases the valuation of the dedication factor for the position of Chief of Local Police from 1.11 to 7.39 points. The agreement, signed by Mayor Enrique José Castro Tárraga, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén, number 162, of August 21, 2026, and remains open for public inspection for twenty business days.
The measure affects the municipal workforce and the Council’s budget, and is processed through two announcements that record the same modification: 2026/3847, which covers the positions of Local Police Agent, Officer, and Chief, and 2026/3848, referring specifically to the position of Chief of Local Police.
Modification of the dedication factor
The agreement consists of the modification of the valuation corresponding to Factor 10.1 (Dedication) for the position of Chief of Local Police, which changes from 1.11 points to 7.39 points. This is a substantial increase that recognizes the greater dedication required of the head of the Local Police force.
- Previous valuation of the dedication factor: 1.11 points.
- New valuation: 7.39 points.
- Affected position: Chief of Local Police (and, in announcement 2026/3847, also Agent and Officer).
Economic effects and calendar
The modification will take effect from July 1, 2026, although the payment of the salary difference will begin in January 2027. The delay in payment allows the City Council to fit the cost into the municipal budget for the next fiscal year.
Processing and public exhibition
The agreement is open for public inspection at the Secretariat Office of the City Council and on the municipal electronic headquarters (tosiria.sedelectronica.es) for a period of twenty business days, during which it may be examined and any claims deemed appropriate may be submitted. Once definitively approved, the table will be published in full in the Official Gazette of the Province and a copy will be sent to the State Administration and the competent body of the Autonomous Community.
The revaluation of the dedication factor for the Chief of Local Police represents a remunerative recognition of the responsibility and availability of the highest official of the municipal security force, and will have a direct impact on the accounts of the Torredonjimeno Council starting next year.
