Torredonjimeno announces a competitive examination for a municipal Social Worker position.

The Town Council of Torredonjimeno (Jaén) has approved the rules for the competitive examination selection procedure to fill, as a career civil servant, a Social Worker position vacant in its workforce and job description. The agreement was adopted by the Local Government Board on 23 July 2026, and the announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén number 155, of 12 August 2026 (p. 12574), under reference 2026/3672.

The call is part of the public employment offer of the municipality in Jaén and opens a stable access route to the post, reserved for graduates of Group A2. The announcement, signed by the mayor, Enrique José Castro Tárraga, on 28 July 2026, is made public “for general knowledge” of the applicants.

The position and the procedure

The rules approved by the Local Government Board regulate the provision of one position with the following characteristics:

• Position: Social Worker, vacant in the Town Council’s workforce and job description.
• Regime: career civil servant.
• Classification group: A2.
• Scale: Special Administration, Technical Subscale.
• Selection procedure: competitive examination.

The system combines the opposition phase, in which the knowledge of the applicants is assessed, with the merit-based phase, in which professional and academic merits are scored, in accordance with the published rules.

Deadline for submitting applications

The deadline for submitting applications is 20 business days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official State Gazette, as expressly stated in the text of the edict. Publication in the BOP of Jaén thus serves as prior notice of the process, while the official calculation of the deadline is linked to the insertion of the announcement in the BOE.

Those interested must submit their application within that period; the documentation and alleged merits will conform to the provisions of the approved rules.

There, applicants can consult the full text of the call, the participation requirements, the syllabus and the merit scale before formalizing their application.
