The grants are intended for the encouragement and promotion of physical sporting activity through:

  • Participation of non-professional individual athletes in federated competitions at a national or international level.
  • Sporting activities not aimed at competition, such as the organization of events.
  • Development of sports schools.

  • Promotion of sports culture as a healthy habit.

Amount and Regulatory Bases

The grants will be awarded charged to budget application 2026.3401.48900 of the 2026 Budget, allocated with an amount of 70,000 euros, and no amount exceeding the fixed maximum may be granted. Exceptionally, an additional amount may be established, the effectiveness of which is conditional upon the declaration of credit availability and, where applicable, the approval of the budget modification prior to the award resolution.

The specific regulatory bases of the 2026 call, the Budget Execution Bases for the fiscal year, and the Municipal Grants Ordinance shall apply.

Deadlines and Submission

The maximum deadline for submitting applications is 30 calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the summary in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén, without prejudice to its insertion in the electronic office and the City Council’s notice board. Applications, signed by the legal representative, shall preferably be submitted through the municipal electronic office, with the electronic route being mandatory for those subject to Law 39/2015.

The execution period for the subsidized activities runs from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, with expenses incurred prior to the notification of the grant being admissible provided they occurred within that period.
