Torredonjimeno opens Contrata-T subsidies to hire unemployed persons

The City Council of Torredonjimeno (Jaén) has opened the call for “Contrata-T” grants for the 2026 fiscal year, endowed with 40,000 euros, with the aim of incentivizing the indefinite hiring of unemployed persons registered as residents in the municipality. The call is published via summary in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén, number 171, dated September 3, 2026, and its full text is available in the National Grants Database with identifier BDNS 926883.

The measure, signed by the mayor-president Enrique J. Castro Tárraga on July 23, 2026, is framed within the 2026 Municipal Budget Execution Bases, the City Council’s General Grants Ordinance, and Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Grants Law, along with its regulation approved by Royal Decree 887/2006.

Beneficiaries and objective

Private companies, regardless of their legal form, including self-employed workers and private non-profit entities that meet the requirements of article 4 of the bases, may apply for these grants. The condition is to hire, on an indefinite basis, between November 16, 2025, and November 15, 2026, unemployed persons registered as residents in Torredonjimeno.

Groups of natural or legal persons, communities of assets, and any other economic unit or separate estate lacking its own legal personality are excluded.

Grant amounts

The grant is awarded per person hired for 12 months; therefore, the beneficiary must maintain the employment relationship for at least that period. The amounts are as follows:

• 3,000.00 euros for full-time indefinite contracts (€250.00/month).
• 1,500.00 euros for part-time indefinite contracts (€125.00/month).
• Proportional amount for contracts with a duration intermediate between both cases.
• Contracts with a workday lower than part-time are not subsidized.

The grants are awarded charged to budget application 241.470.00 of the 2026 Budget, endowed with 40,000.00 euros, and amounts exceeding this maximum quantity cannot be granted. Subsequent modifications to the contracts that increase the workday will not increase the grant.

Deadlines and submission

The application submission period opens from the publication of the summary in the Official Gazette of the Province and will remain open until November 15, 2026. Submission shall be carried out preferably by electronic means through the City Council’s electronic office (tosiria.sedelectronica.es), and shall be exclusively electronic in the case of legal entities.

The execution period coincides with the first 12 months of the formalized indefinite contracts. The justification for the aid will be carried out at the end of that period, through the submission of the Justification Account of the expenditure within the following three months, in accordance with the specific bases and Article 18 of the Regulatory Ordinance for Municipal Subsidies.

The “Contrata-T” call represents a direct boost to stable employment in Torredonjimeno, by subsidizing the first year of salary and social security for new indefinite hires. With a budget of 40,000 euros, the program seeks to promote the labor insertion of registered unemployed residents and provide certainty to companies, freelancers, and non-profit entities in the municipality, who have just over two months to formalize their applications.
