Torredembarra opens the bid to broadcast stall 55 of the Tuesday market
Por FactBox Admin

The Torredembarra City Council has opened a public offer to transfer the license for stall number 55 of the weekly non-sedentary Tuesday market, held at the Mañé i Flaquer parking lot. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona (BOPT) on October 9, 2026, with the reference CVE 2026-09122, and sets a transfer amount of 5,000 euros and a license valid until October 8, 2040. The operation affects non-sedentary vendors in the municipality and excludes anyone who is already the holder of another authorization at the same market.
The call is framed within the Municipal Ordinance for Non-Sedentary Sales Markets of Torredembarra, which in article 7.5 establishes that no natural or legal person may hold more than one authorization per market. The full approved text was signed on September 30, 2026, by Raúl Garcia Vicente and is now published in the provincial gazette, which is the document that marks the start of the deadline calculation.
This is not an isolated operation. In September 2026, the council had already put other stalls from the same market up for public offer: number 4 (1,500 euros), number 34 (5,000 euros, by decree 2026 2344 of September 2), and number 43 (3,000 euros, by decree 2026-2320 of August 31). All shared the same license expiration date, October 8, 2040.
Characteristics of the offered stall
- Stall number 55 of the weekly Tuesday market.
- Authorized products for sale: groups 2 and 6, home equipment and food.
- Surface area: 12 linear meters.
- License duration: until October 8, 2040.
- Transfer amount: 5,000 euros, a fixed amount that does not accept higher or lower offers.
- Payment: direct from the successful bidder to the transferor, to the bank account where the latter appears as the holder and with a reliable document from the banking entity.
Requirements to opt for the transfer
- Legal entities: legally constituted, registered in the corresponding official registry and with a corporate purpose that includes the exercise of non-sedentary sales.
- Non-EU merchants: valid residence and self-employment work permits.
- Registration in the census of taxpayers and compliance with state, regional, and local tax obligations.
- Registration and up-to-date payment in the Social Security system, for both the holder and potential employees.
- Compliance with applicable sectoral regulations and, if applicable, hygiene and food handling regulations.
- Civil liability insurance with a minimum coverage of 300,000 euros.
- Cooperatives: all working partners assigned to the same Social Security system.
- To be up to date with the payment of tax obligations to the Torredembarra City Council.
Deadlines, processing, and resolution
The application period begins on the date of the announcement’s publication in the BOPT and ends after one month. Applications must be submitted through the entry registry of the Torredembarra City Council or via the municipal electronic office, and it is mandatory to do so electronically for the subjects established in article 14.2 of the LPACAP.
- A single interested party: supporting documentation is required within 10 business days.
- More than one interested party: a public draw will be held under the terms determined by the city council.
- Resolution: maximum term of three months from the day after the end of the application period.
- Administrative silence: if no express resolution is notified, the application is understood to be rejected.
- Condition for award: prove payment of the amount to the transferor and be up to date with the taxes generated by the stall.
For non-sedentary vendors in Torredembarra, the call is a window to access a long-term municipal license —until 2040— in a consolidated market, but with a fixed entry cost of 5,000 euros and the restriction of one single stall per holder. The procedure also provides the council with a tool to organize the ownership of the stalls and ensure that the awardees comply with the fiscal, labor, and insurance requirements demanded by the ordinance.
