Torredembarra urgently announces the post of municipal treasurer.

The Torredembarra City Council has announced, on an urgent and non-deferrable basis, the provision of the position of municipal Treasurer, reserved for officials of the national qualification scale. The call for applications and the regulatory rules are published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Tarragona (BOPT) of 14 August 2026 (announcement 363443) and open a period of 5 business days for submitting applications.

The decision was adopted by the delegated councillor for Human Resources, Eduard Rovira Gual, by means of a resolution electronically signed on 13 August 2026. The council justifies the procedure by the need to fill without delay a key position in municipal economic management, and provides that the post will be occupied by provisional appointment or secondment, for the legally established duration.

A position on the national qualification scale

The position announced is assigned to the municipal treasury and has the following characteristics:

• Category: Municipal Treasurer, National Qualification scale, Intervention-Treasury subscale.
• Access group: group A, subgroup A1; destination level 30.
• Specific supplement: €45,108.56 gross per year; full-time.
• Functions: those provided for in current regulations and in the City Council’s List of Work Positions.

Requirements and submission of applications

Career civil servants of the local Administration scale with national qualification, of the Intervention-Treasury subscale, who hold a C1 level certificate of Catalan language knowledge or equivalent, may apply. Applications may be submitted electronically at the City Council’s electronic office, or in person at the general registry and through any of the means provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the common administrative procedure.

The documentation to be attached is as follows:

• Documentation proving compliance with the requirements to participate.
• Detailed curriculum vitae of the applicant.
• Documentation proving the merits related to the curriculum.

In addition, it must be expressly stated whether the candidate opts for provision by means of provisional appointment or secondment.

Selection and appointment proposal

Once the deadline has ended, a committee made up of the secretary, the auditor and the Human Resources technician will issue a suitability report for each applicant, with preference given to the following aspects:

• Experience in positions similar or identical to the one announced.
• Studies and specific training related to the functions to be performed.
• Other curricular aspects provided by the candidate.

The selection body may also conduct a preliminary interview to verify the professional profile and suitability for the post. The suitability report, together with the list of applicants in descending order, will be sent to the competent body, which will submit the corresponding appointment request to the General Directorate of Local Administration. If the preferred applicant does not obtain the mandatory favourable report from the administration where they are posted, the proposal will be made in favour of the next person on the list.

Publicity and deadlines

The 5-business-day deadline begins to run from the day after the publication of the notice in the BOPT. The municipal council will also forward the call to the College of Secretaries, Auditors and Treasurers of Local Administration of Barcelona so that it may give it publicity within the same period, and will notify the resolution to the Unified Staff Committee.

The call will allow Torredembarra to fill a position of financial responsibility without delay, while offering state-enabled officials of the Intervention-Treasury subscale an opportunity for professional mobility.
