Who can apply and for what purpose
Residents of the municipality of Torija who are legal guardians of minors enrolled in the CEIP Virgen del Amparo of Torija, as well as students enrolled in institutes in the province of Guadalajara and in universities across the national territory during the 2026/2027 academic year, may apply.
Eligible expenses are those incurred between June 15, 2026, and October 31, 2026, and include:
- Textbooks for elective subjects from 3rd grade of Primary Education to 2nd year of Baccalaureate, and all books for vocational training cycles and university degrees.
- Licenses for digital books, chromebooks, or tablets, when required in writing by the center.
- Consumable school supplies: sheets of paper, notebooks, binders, paints, scientific calculator, dictionaries, maps, backpack or pencil case, among others.
- Practical materials, with a certificate of necessity from the center.
- Consumable material cooperative and bibs for the 2nd Cycle of Early Childhood Education.
- Proof of membership in the book bank of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha.
Amounts by educational stage
The sixth section of the resolution details the maximum aid according to the level of study:
- Early Childhood Education at CEIP Virgen del Amparo: 100 euros.
- Primary Education at the same center: 125 euros.
- 3rd grade of Primary Education: 200 euros, provided that adherence to the Castilla-La Mancha book bank is justified; otherwise, 125 euros.
- 1st to 4th year of ESO (Secondary Education) and Baccalaureate in institutes within the province of Guadalajara: 100 euros.
- Vocational training cycles in institutes within the province: 200 euros.
- University centers: 200 euros.
If the budget allocation proves insufficient to meet all requests, the grants will be reduced proportionally up to the limit of the budget item. The application must be signed by both legal guardians listed in the family book who live with the minor, or by the sole guardian in the provided cases.
Impact for families
The call for applications arrives with the school year already underway and school expenses largely paid, as it covers purchases made since June 15. For families in Torija with children in public schools, provincial institutes, or university, it represents direct relief of between 100 and 200 euros per student, with a maximum of 12,000 euros distributed through competitive bidding. The deadline is tight: those who do not submit the application and annexes before November 10 will be excluded from the call.
