Tomiño opens a competition for the use of the Unión del Porvenir building

The Tomiño City Council is opening a competitive public domain concession procedure for the private use of a space in the municipal building Unión del Porvenir, located in the neighborhood of Tabordela. The call was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Pontevedra (BOPPO) on Friday, August 28, 2026, number 165, and grants a period of 30 business days for the submission of proposals.

The initiative stems from a request submitted on August 18, 2026, by ALALÁ Sociedade Cooperativa Galega, with NIF F09760034 and non-profit status, which seeks to use and revitalize the space with activities of a social, educational, ecological, cultural, and community nature. The file is processed under number 2753/2026.

The property and its patrimonial value

The Unión del Porvenir is located at number 12 in the neighborhood of Tabordela, in the parish of Piñeiro, and is municipally owned according to the Municipal Inventory of Assets. It is a rehabilitated stone building, classified as a public use building, which will be subject to private use along with the garden.

• Ground floor: multi-purpose room of 116 m².

The asset is registered in the Property Registry of Tui as municipally owned in volume 1169, book 253, folio 24, with no registered encumbrances.

Deadlines and conditions for participation

The conditions of the public domain concession are detailed in the administrative and technical specifications, which are published on the same day as the insertion of the announcement on the physical and electronic notice boards of the Tomiño City Council.

An opportunity for the social fabric

The concession opens the door for social and cultural entities to take charge of a rehabilitated municipal space in rural Tomiño. The proposal from the Alalá cooperative points toward a community use of the building, which reinforces the value of the property as a facility at the service of the residents of Tabordela and the parish of Piñeiro.
