Tomelloso announces three Local Police Officer positions via internal promotion
Por FactBox Admin

The Tomelloso City Council has approved the provisional list of applicants admitted and excluded from the selective tests to fill three positions of Officer of the Local Police Force through the internal promotion system. The resolution from the Mayor’s Office, dated October 1, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real number 190, dated October 2, 2026, within the Local Administration section, under announcement number 3168.
The purpose of the call is the provision, via internal promotion, of three Officer positions within the Local Police Force, belonging to the Basic Scale of Special Administration, vacant in the personnel staff of this City Council. The resolution is issued in compliance with the provisions of the fourth clause of the rules governing the call, and consists of two agreements: the approval of the provisional list and the order for publication in the official gazette, the notice board, and the municipal website.
Four applicants admitted and two excluded
The resolution approved by the Mayor’s Office includes a provisional list of six applicants, of whom four have been admitted and two excluded. The list of admitted persons consists of:
- Félix Cobo Rosell
- José Antonio Gómez-Choco Villarreal
- Óscar Díaz Dapica
- Inocencio José Villalta Duro
For its part, the list of excluded persons, indicating the reason, is as follows:
- Miguel Ángel García Ballesteros Ortiz, for reason A.
- Mario Villena González, for reason B.
Reasons for exclusion and correction period
The announcement details the two reasons that caused the provisional exclusion. Reason A corresponds to not meeting the requirement demanded in the second clause, section c), of those governing the call. Reason B refers to not providing driving licenses of classes B and/or class A or A2.
Provisionally excluded applicants, as well as those who do not appear on the list of admitted or excluded persons, have a period of ten business days, counted from the day following the publication of the resolution, to correct the defects that motivated their exclusion or their lack of express inclusion. Those who do not correct these defects within the specified period, justifying their right to be admitted, will be definitively excluded from the selection process.
Publication and scope of the process
The second agreement of the resolution orders the publication of the provisional list of admitted and excluded applicants in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real, on the notice board, and on the website of the Tomelloso City Council. The document appears signed by the mayor of the town, Javier Navarro Muelas, and is dated October 1, 2026.
The call for applications directly affects the municipality’s staff, as the three Officer positions are filled through internal promotion—that is, by agents already serving in the Local Police Force of Tomelloso who meet the requirements of the guidelines. The publication of the provisional list opens the phase for claims and corrections, a preliminary step before the final list and the holding of the selection tests.
For the applicants, the announcement marks the effective start of the process calendar: the four admitted candidates may continue in the call, while the two excluded must prove the correction of the indicated defects within the specified period if they wish to maintain their options. For the municipal staff as a whole, the resolution represents the first firm step toward filling three middle-management positions within the force, a key category in the organization of the local public security service.
