Toledo publishes admitted and excluded candidates for eight firefighter-driver positions

The Toledo City Council has approved the provisional list of admitted and excluded applicants for the selection process to fill 8 Firefighter-Driver positions through the general open access system and the competitive examination procedure. The decision is detailed in Resolution No. 8076, of September 3, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Toledo, number 172, of September 9, 2026.

The call for applications was launched by the Department of Interior and Personnel via Resolution No. 11140, of November 13, 2025, subsequently extended by Resolution No. 5609, of June 18, 2026. The document, signed by the Secretary General of Government, Fernando Payo Sánchez-Garrido, is issued by virtue of the powers attributed by agreement of the Local Government Board on June 26, 2023, and in accordance with bases 4.1 and 4.2 of the call.

Provisional list of admitted applicants

Following the application deadline, the resolution publishes the provisional list of admitted applicants, which exceeds one hundred candidates. Among those admitted, by way of example, are Raúl Alarcón López, Jesús Albarracín Noguera, Iván Alcolea Ramos, Enrique Almiñana Bellón, Javier Alonso Sánchez, and Miguel Álvarez Molina, along with dozens more applicants from the capital and the province.

Excluded applicants and causes

The resolution also includes the list of excluded applicants, specifying the concrete cause for exclusion and the method for rectification. In total, there are 13 provisionally excluded candidates, for reasons ranging from non-payment of examination fees to the failure to prove unemployed status.

• A: non-payment of examination fees (base 3.4).
• D: application not submitted in the established model or incomplete (bases 3.1 and 3.5).
• E: failure to prove representation to act on behalf of the interested party (article 5.3 of Law 39/2015, of October 1).
• F: failure to prove unemployed status as of the date of the call’s publication.

Rectification period

Excluded applicants will have a period of ten business days starting from the day following the publication of the decree in the Official Gazette of the Province of Toledo to rectify the defects leading to their exclusion. Those who do not correct the deficiencies within this period, justifying their right to be admitted, will be definitively excluded from the selection process.

The publication of this provisional list represents a key step in a process of great interest to candidates and residents of the capital, which aims to reinforce the Toledo City Council fire department with eight new personnel.
