Toledo makes the sports credit supplement final

The Municipal Sports Board of Toledo has finalized the credit supplement of 116,000.00 euros destined for current expenses, as no objections were filed during the public exhibition period. The decision, adopted by the plenary of the Toledo City Council, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Toledo, number 168, dated September 3, 2026, page 5.

The finalization occurs in compliance with article 169.3, by referral of 177.2, of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Revised Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries. The agreement stems from the initial approval adopted by the municipal plenary on July 24, 2026, within file no. 5/2026 for credit modification under the credit supplement modality.

Financing and destination of funds

The credit supplement is structured into two budgetary statements that offset each other by the same amount:

• Expenditure statement, chapter II, “Expenses on current goods and services”: 116,000.00 euros.
• Income statement, chapter VIII, “Variation of Financial Assets (Treasury Surplus)”: 116,000.00 euros.
• Total supplement: 116,000.00 euros.

In this way, the operation is fully financed by the treasury surplus, without resorting to new debt, and is intended to cover current expenses and services of the municipal sports organization.

Legal framework and appeals

The publication is carried out in compliance with the regulations on stability and control of local treasuries. Against the agreement, interested parties may directly file a contentious-administrative appeal in the form and within the time limits established in articles 25 and following of Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating said jurisdiction, in accordance with the provisions of article 113 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of Local Regime, and article 171 of the aforementioned Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004.

The consolidation of this credit supplement guarantees the Municipal Sports Board of Toledo the availability of resources to sustain its current expenses and the provision of sports services to the citizenry.
