The census for the water tax of the second quarter of 2026 is now on display

The Toén City Council approved, by means of Mayoral Decree of 01/09/2026, the tax register for the water supply fee corresponding to the 2nd quarter of the year 2026. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense on September 11, 2026, in section IV of Local Entities, with reference R. 2.120.

The register is open to the public for fifteen (15) business days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the BOP, for the purposes of examination and claims, in accordance with article 102.3 of the General Tax Law.

Exhibition period and appeals

During the public exhibition period, interested parties may examine the individualized settlements included in the register and submit any claims they deem appropriate.

• Appeal for reversal before the Mayor’s Office: a period of one (1) month from the day following the end of the public exhibition.
• Contentious-administrative appeal before the Provincial Contentious-Administrative Court: two (2) months from the notification of the resolution of the appeal for reversal, if express, or six months from the presumed act.
• Any other appeal deemed appropriate may also be filed.

Collection in the voluntary period

The voluntary collection period is set from 11/09/2026 until 11/11/2026. The place of payment is that indicated in the individual notifications sent to the taxpayers’ addresses.

Settlements not paid during the voluntary period will be demanded through the enforcement procedure, with the application of the corresponding surcharges, as well as late-payment interest and other expenses and costs until the day the tax debt is paid.

Water canon and demand by the Xunta

In accordance with article 49.7 of Decree 136/2012, of May 31 (DOG no. 119, of 22/06/2012), taxpayers are warned that failure to pay the water canon during the voluntary period will result in its direct demand via enforcement by the competent department for finance of the Xunta de Galicia.

The repercussion of the water canon may be subject to an economic-administrative claim before the corresponding body of the Autonomous Community of Galicia within a period of one (1) month from the publication of the announcement in the BOP.

This publication affects all taxpayers of the municipality of Toén who have contracted the water supply service, as it establishes the payment deadlines and the means of appeal for possible discrepancies in the settlements. Compliance during the voluntary period avoids surcharges, interest, and the enforcement procedure; therefore, it is recommended to review the individual notifications and pay within the indicated deadline.
