Teruel distributes 150,000 euros in grants among 77 associative entities

The Mayor’s Office-Presidency of the Teruel City Council has resolved the 2026 call for grants regarding the promotion of associations and citizen participation, with a budget of 150,000 euros distributed among 77 entities in the city. The resolution, adopted via Decree no. 4406/2026, of August 24, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel of August 28, 2026, number 164, with the reference No. 2026-2519.

The call is processed through a competitive bidding procedure, according to administrative file 2690/2026/TE, and is charged to budget application 924.489.00 (current transfers for citizen participation to families and non-profit institutions). The agreement was signed on August 25, 2026, by the General Services and Citizen Participation technician, Mr. Rafael Paricio Mateo, by delegation of the General Secretariat.

Withdrawn and Inadmissible Entities

Along with the grants, the resolution declares two applications withdrawn and two inadmissible, in accordance with the rules of the call:

• AMPA “Pedro Poveda” of the Victoria Díez School (NIF G-44009819), withdrawn in the educational project category by request of withdrawal.
• Agrupación Deportiva Club Aeromodelismo Teruel (NIF G-44110625), withdrawn in the category of headquarters maintenance and ordinary operating expenses.
• Teruel con Orgullo (NIF G-26910661), inadmissible for not being registered in the Municipal Registry of Associations prior to the publication of the call summary.
• Asociación Cultural de Vecinos de San Blas (NIF G-44106441), inadmissible for submitting the application on May 21, 2026, after the deadline.

The call was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel no. 68, of April 13, 2026, therefore the submission period began on April 14 and ended on May 13, 2026.

Beneficiaries and Amounts

The grants are awarded based on the evaluation of each entity and project, with scores combining representativeness, economic capacity, technical quality, effectiveness, and community participation. Among the beneficiaries are sports clubs, AMPAs (Parents’ Associations), and neighborhood and cultural associations from across the city:

• San Julián Neighborhood Association, 2,787.16 euros, “La oca en Sanju” project.
• Barrio del Carmen y Colindantes Neighborhood Association, 2,787.16 euros.
• San León Magno Neighborhood Association, 2,787.16 euros, “Barrio activo” project.
• Barrio de Caudé Neighborhood Association, 2,787.16 euros, “I Festival La Loga”.
• ATADI Sports Club, 2,572.76 euros, training in adapted sports.
• Proyecto Gato Teruel Association, 2,345.39 euros, cat shelter management.
• “Amigo Mío” Animal Protection Society, 2,572.76 euros.
• Teruel Food Bank Association, 2,358.36 euros.

Projects without subsidies

In accordance with rule 8 of the call, tier 0 projects (below 50 points) do not receive a subsidy and are excluded from the calculations. This is the case for the Downhill Teruel Association and the Provincial Association of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Pilots of Teruel, both with 29 points.

The resolution provides for the expenditure in favor of the designated beneficiaries and orders the publication of the agreement in the Official Provincial Gazette, the Municipal Notice Board, the City Council’s Transparency Portal, and the National Subsidy Database. The beneficiary entities are required to justify the aid in accordance with the regulatory ordinance of the rules.

The call consolidates municipal support for Teruel’s associative fabric, ranging from grassroots sports and parent-teacher associations (AMPAs) to neighborhood and cultural associations, in a year in which citizen participation is reinforced as a pillar of local policy.
