Teruel distributes 15,000 euros among thirteen clubs for sports competitions

The Teruel City Council has resolved to grant 15,000 euros to thirteen sports clubs and associations in the city for the development of competitions and sporting events of municipal interest during the 2026 fiscal year. The agreement was adopted by the Local Government Board in its session on September 21, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel number 185, corresponding to September 28, 2026, with the official reference 2026-2774.

The call is governed by the approved guidelines and is processed under administrative file number 2007/2026/TE. The distribution was carried out by applying a weighted score to each applicant, such that the amounts granted are proportional to the valuation obtained and not linear. The sum of the weighted scores amounts to 1,302.5 points, and the total committed amount coincides exactly with the planned allocation: 15,000.00 euros.

The distribution, club by club

The approved economic distribution is as follows:

• GRUPO ALPINO JAVALAMBRE: 160 points and €1,842.61.
• CLUB ATLETISMO TERUEL PARQUE: 150 points and €1,727.45.
• CLUB ATLETISMO MUDÉJAR TERUEL: 160 points and €1,842.61.
• CLUB DE TENIS TERUEL: 130 points and €1,497.12.
• ASOCIACIÓN ATLÉTICA TUROLENSE: 130 points and €1,497.12.
• CLUB POLIDEPORTIVO LA SALLE: 110 points and €1,266.79.
• CLUB AJEDREZ TERUEL: 110 points and €1,266.79.
• CLUB DE TIRO Y CAZA S. FERNANDO: 67.5 points and €777.35.
• A.C. AMIGOS DE LOS TRINQUETES: 60 points and €690.98.
• CLUB BARRA ARAGONESA: 60 points and €690.98.
• CLUB RUGBY TERUEL: 60 points and €690.98.
• TERUEL FUTBOL SALA: 60 points and €690.98.
• CLUB BILLAR CASINO: 45 points and €518.23.

The highest-rated entities, GRUPO ALPINO JAVALAMBRE and CLUB ATLETISMO MUDÉJAR TERUEL, each receive 1,842.61 euros, while the smallest amount, 518.23 euros, corresponds to CLUB BILLAR CASINO. The agreement includes the expenditure provision for the amounts and in favor of the listed beneficiaries.

Two inadmissible requests

The same agreement resolves to declare inadmissible the requests submitted by DOWNHILL TERUEL and A. PROV. PILOTOS VEHÍCULOS AÉREOS, for the reasons detailed in the explanatory section of the file. These two petitions are, therefore, excluded from the distribution of the 15,000 euros and do not appear among the thirteen beneficiaries.

The City Council will publicize the agreement in the Official Gazette of the Province, on the Municipal Notice Board, on the Transparency Portal website, and in the National Grants Database, in compliance with active publicity obligations.

More sports grants in the same gazette

The session of the Local Government Board on September 21, 2026, resulted in two other sports resolutions in the same issue of the bulletin. Reference 2026-2773 grants 8,000 euros to nine high-level athletes, with individual amounts ranging from 774.18 to 929.04 euros, under file 2019/2026/TE; in this case, the applications of Mr. Javier Barea Pastor, Mr. Ramón Benítez Doñate, and Ms. Judith Soriano Sánchez were inadmissible.

For its part, reference 2026-2775, processed as file 2005/2026/TE, determines the clubs and ratios that will develop the municipal sports schools for the 2026/2027 academic year, with seven schools selected in modalities such as rugby, climbing, mountain running, pelota mano, Olympic shooting, swimming, and futsal. In this case, the final amount per school will be set based on the count of students enrolled on October 15, 2026.

The impact of these resolutions is direct on the sporting fabric of Teruel: thirteen non-profit entities receive municipal funding to maintain competition calendars and events open to the public, while the sports schools are streamlined for the newly started academic year. The publication of the agreement in the National Grants Database also allows partners, federations, and residents to verify the exact destination of every euro granted.
