Teruel allocates 43,000 euros to boost local commerce

The Teruel City Council has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel number 173, dated September 10, 2026, the call for the granting of subsidies for the implementation of commercial and business revitalization and promotion activities for the year 2026. The call, identified by number 2026-2634, provides for a maximum total amount of 43,000 euros and is published as an extract in the National Subsidies Database with the identifier BDNS 928232.

The measure is framed within the General Regulatory Ordinance of the Bases for the Granting of Subsidies by the Teruel City Council, initially approved by the Plenary Council on July 7, 2025, and definitively published in the BOP of Teruel no. 168, dated September 5, 2025, entering into force on September 29, 2025. The announcement is signed by the mayor-president, Ms. María Emma Buj Sánchez, dated September 8, 2026.

Beneficiaries and purpose

These grants may be requested by legally constituted associations of merchants and entrepreneurs registered in the Municipal Registry of Associations, as well as public law corporations and business organizations whose purposes are related to the object of the subsidy. Eligible projects may consist of revitalization and/or digitalization activities carried out during 2026, with four main objectives:

• Support local commerce through promotion, dissemination, and revitalization actions.
• Encourage entrepreneurship and support for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs.
• Promote the use and utilization of vacant premises, through their revitalization and aesthetic renovation.
• Implement digitalization tools in shops and companies, including digital applications and mobile apps.

Deadline and method of submission

As the interested parties are subject to electronic relations with the Administration, applications must be submitted exclusively by electronic means through the Electronic Office of the Teruel City Council, whose procedures catalog includes the “Application for subsidies for the implementation of commercial and business revitalization and promotion activities.” Telematic submission through the electronic offices of other public administrations or the Common Electronic Registry Portal of the General State Administration will also be valid.

The deadline for submitting applications with the corresponding documentation is one month from the day following the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel.
