Teruel authorizes the renovation and remote control of the Bronchales electrical center

The Provincial Council of Teruel, through the Director of the Provincial Service of the Department of Economy, Competitiveness, and Employment, has granted Edistribución Redes Digitales SLU the prior administrative and construction authorization for the renovation and installation of remote control at the transformation center Z03617 “Bronchales nº 2”, with a budget of €12,636.59. The resolution, signed on June 16, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel number 163, dated August 27, 2026, under reference No. 2026-1920 and file TE-SP-ENE-AT-2026-011.

The action, classified as a new supply and financed by third parties, is part of the authorization procedure for high-voltage electrical installations. The report from the Energy Section, dated June 18, 2026, certifies compliance with the regulatory procedures provided for in Royal Decree 1955/2000, Royal Decree 337/2014 (High Voltage Regulation and its ITC-RAT 01 to 23), and Royal Decree 223/2008 (High Voltage Power Line Regulation), as well as Law 1/2021 on administrative simplification.

Installation Data

The transformation center, an isolated surface-level local type, is located at calle Europa, 1, in the municipality of Bronchales (Teruel). The resolution details the following data:

• Petitioner: Edistribución Redes Digitales SLU (holder B82846817).
• Action: renovation and installation of remote control at CT Z03617 “Bronchales nº 2”.
• Purpose: new electrical supply.
• Installation type: NER financed by third parties.
• Budget: €12,636.59.

Scope of the Renovation

The authorized works include the replacement of the existing transformer with a new 400 kVA B1B2 unit, the renovation of the medium and low voltage bridges, and the installation of an upper ventilation grille. It also provides for the placement of a new 24 kV and 400 A switch-disconnector with remote control and thermal probe, replacing the current disconnector and protection fuse, as well as an oil collection sump for the new transformer.

Deadlines and Conditions

The authorization is granted subject to several mandatory conditions:

• The deadline to execute the project and request commissioning will be 12 months from the notification of the resolution, suspended while the necessary permits and licenses are obtained if the delay is not attributable to the holder.
• The holder must comply with the conditions of the agencies affected by the installation.
• The authorization is granted without prejudice to third parties and municipal, provincial licenses, and other permits necessary for the works.

The resolution, which does not exhaust administrative remedies, may be appealed via an administrative appeal (recurso de alzada) before the Minister of Economy, Competitiveness and Employment within one month of its notification, in accordance with Law 5/2021 on the Organization and Legal Regime of the Autonomous Public Sector of Aragon and Law 39/2015 on the Common Administrative Procedure. The modernization of the Bronchales transformation center results in greater reliability and capacity of the electricity supply, an improvement that directly affects the residents and businesses of the area, who will see the quality of service reinforced in a municipality of the Teruel mountains.
