Teresa Carrera Babarro, new Deputy Director of the Brussels Office

The Government of Aragon has appointed Teresa Carrera Babarro as deputy director of the Office of the Government of Aragon in Brussels, in a high-level transition within the regional representation to the European Union. The appointment is formalized through Order PJC/1330/2026, dated September 4, published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 179, dated September 15, 2026, effective from September 4.

The decision, signed by the Vice President and Councilor for Presidency, Justice, Culture, and Sport, María del Mar Vaquero Perianez, is accompanied by Order PJC/1329/2026, of the same date, which mandates the cessation of the official from her previous position as advisor to the Office in Brussels, effective September 3, due to appointment to another job position.

A promotion within the representation in Brussels

Teresa Carrera Babarro leaves the temporary staff position RPT number 109015, as advisor to the Office in Brussels, to occupy the position of deputy director, identified by RPT number 115564, assigned to the Office of the Government of Aragon in Brussels of the Department of Presidency, Justice, Culture, and Sport.

The transition occurs within the framework of the regulation of temporary staff of the Autonomous Community, in accordance with Article 12 of the revised text of the Law of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, and Article 28 of the revised text of the Law of the President and the Government of Aragon, approved by Legislative Decree 1/2022, of April 6.

Remuneration of the new position

The position of deputy director of the Brussels Office has complementary remuneration set by agreement of the Government of Aragon adopted in its meeting on July 22, 2026, for an annual amount of 65,381.76 euros. The new deputy director thus assumes the coordination of the Aragonese delegation before the European institutions.
