The City Council of the Town and Port of Tazacorte has appointed Jared Rodríguez Rodríguez as a career civil servant in the position of Local Police Officer, after he successfully completed the professional promotion course. The decision was adopted via Mayoral Decree No. 2026-0602, dated August 19, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, number 101, Monday, August 24, 2026, on page 24024.
The agreement, signed by Mayor David Ruiz Álvarez, consolidates the officer’s professional career within the staff of the Local Police of the Palmerian municipality, thereby strengthening the municipal security force.

Subsequently, the General Directorate of Studies, Training, and Research in Public Security declared the IV Professional Promotion Course for the position of Police Officer-A of the Canary Islands concluded and approved the list of grades, in which the interested party appears with a grade of pass. Based on the proposal of the qualifying Tribunal, the definitive appointment decree was issued.

Appeals and effects
Against this act, which ends the administrative route, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the same body that issued it, or a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Courts of Santa Cruz de Tenerife within two months of notification. The deadline for the reversal appeal is one month if the act is express.
