Tarifa appoints four administrative staff as career civil servants

The Tarifa City Council has appointed four individuals as career civil servants to fill Administrative positions, a step that consolidates the municipal local public employment workforce. The decision, adopted by Mayor José Antonio Santos Perea through Decree 2026/2493, dated August 5, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz number 178, dated September 15, 2026.
The appointments correspond to positions classified in Group C, subgroup C1, of the General Administration Scale, Administrative subscale, Administrative Class, and are formalized following the processing of the corresponding selection file. The resolution, also signed by the acting general secretary Francisco Javier Ochoa Caro, bears registration number 286.763.
The appointed individuals
The Mayoral decree designates four career civil servants to occupy the Administrative positions, all assigned to the Tarifa city hall:
- María de la Luz Araujo Camilleri (ID *6594).
- María José Lara Santos (ID *6922).
- Isabel María Sena Mesa (ID *7748).
- José Luis Navarro Castilla (ID *3433).
Assumption of office and effects
In accordance with the provisions of article 62.d) of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, which approves the revised text of the Basic Statute of Public Employees Law (TREBEP), the appointed individuals must take office within one month, counting from the day following the receipt of the notification of the resolution.
The resolution further orders that it be forwarded to the interested parties, the Personnel Department, and the Comptroller’s Office, as well as its publication in the Official Gazette of the Province and on the notice board of the electronic headquarters and official website of the Tarifa City Council. Finally, the resolution will be reported to the Plenary Council at the first session it holds.
Relevance for local public employment
These appointments reinforce the stability of Tarifa’s municipal workforce by permanently consolidating four administrative positions, a matter of interest both for the internal functioning of the city hall and for provincial applicants following local administration selection processes.
