The Plenary of the Tarifa City Council, in an extraordinary session held on April 24, 2026, initially approved the modification of the Strategic Grant Plan of the Tarifa City Council 2024-2026. The agreement is subject to public consultation for thirty business days, counted from its publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz, so that any natural or legal person may submit claims and suggestions.
The decision was made known through announcement number 266.359, published in the BOP of Cádiz number 163, dated August 25, 2026, signed by the Mayor-President, José Antonio Santos Perea, and the Acting Secretary General, Francisco Antonio Ruiz Romero.
Regulatory framework and purpose of the plan
The modification is processed under local government and grant regulations, and affects the planning of municipal aid planned for the upcoming years of the 2024-2026 period. The strategic plan constitutes the instrument with which the council organizes the grant lines it will award, such that its revision re-orients spending priorities and aid programs for entities and citizens.
During the exhibition period, the document will be available for examination by interested parties at the following locations:
- The Audit Office of the Tarifa City Council, located at Plaza de Santa María nº 3.
- The Notice Board of the official electronic headquarters, at the web address https://sede.aytotarifa.com.
Deadline for allegations and effects
The agreement is provisional until the public information process is concluded. If no claims or suggestions have been submitted after the period of thirty business days, the agreement will be understood as definitively adopted, proceeding to its full publication in accordance with the provisions of Article 70.2 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of Local Government.
In the event that allegations are submitted, these must be evaluated by the Plenary before the final approval of the modified plan.
Relevance for residents
The revision of the strategic plan directly conditions which municipal aids can be called for and with what priorities in the coming years, therefore affecting associations, collectives, and citizens who apply for council grants. Citizen participation during the allegations process is the means to adjust the document to the real needs of the municipality before its final approval.
