Talavera calls for the first exam for 23 operator positions

The Talavera de la Reina City Council has approved the final list of applicants admitted and excluded from the selection process for the provision, as career civil servants, of 23 Operator positions via open competition and examination. The decision, adopted through Resolutions of the Delegated Department of Finance and Internal Affairs dated August 18, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Toledo number 161, dated August 25, 2026, under official reference No. I.-3826.

The process is part of the public employment offer for the years 2023, 2024, and 2025 and is processed under administrative file 00500/2025/PER of the Personnel Service of the General Secretariat. The resolution, signed on August 20, 2026, by the Councilor for Finance and Internal Affairs, Jesús García Barroso Corrochano, also appoints the members of the qualifying tribunal in charge of the selection and sets the date for the first test.

Qualifying Tribunal

The selection body is composed of the following members, along with their respective alternates:

• President: Ms. María Teresa López Villanueva (alternate: Ms. Verónica Fernández Jiménez).
• Secretary: Mr. César Morales Rentero (alternate: Ms. Beatriz Castaño Fernández).
• Members: Mr. Álvaro Dávila Gómez, Ms. Pilar Mirón López, and Mr. Luis Manuel Flores Díaz.
• Alternate Members: Mr. Francisco Javier Juárez Rodrigo, Mr. Miguel Alberto García Fernández, and Mr. Adolfo Francisco Garín Pezzi.

The tribunal will be convened on the day of the test, prior to the time the exam is held.

Date and Location of the First Test

The first test will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 4:00 PM at two locations in the city:

• University of Castilla-La Mancha, University Studies Center of Talavera de la Reina, at Avenida Real Fábrica de Sedas, s/n.
• Business Incubator Building (Edificio Vivero de Empresas), at Carretera de Calera, number 48-50.

The resolution orders the notification of the tribunal members and publication in the province’s Official Gazette, on the website, and on the City Council’s Notice Board for general knowledge.

Admitted and Excluded

The final list includes a total of 853 applicants, of whom 849 are admitted and 4 are excluded. The reasons for exclusion are as follows:

• Cause 1: failure to prove representation as established in Article 5 of Law 39/2015.
• Cause 2: failure to submit the application for participation in a timely and proper manner, according to Base 2.1.g.
• Cause 3: failure to pay the examination fee in a timely and proper manner, except in cases of exemption provided for in Base 2.1.h.

The call for applications affects hundreds of candidates from the Talavera region and its surroundings, who must appear on September 4 to compete for one of the 23 career civil servant positions. The publication of the final list and the qualifying tribunal represents a decisive step in a process that has been ongoing since the 2023 public employment offer and which, once completed, will allow for the consolidation of stable positions within the municipal workforce.
