Talavera announces 10 Local Police vacancies and publishes the list of admitted candidates

The Talavera de la Reina City Council has approved the provisional list of applicants admitted and excluded from the selection process for the provision, as career civil servants, of 10 Local Police positions. The resolution, issued on August 18, 2026, by the Delegated Department of Finance and Internal Affairs, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Toledo, number 159, dated August 21, 2026, and affects more than 340 applicants.

The positions correspond to the Special Administration scale, Special Services sub-scale, Police class, via the open competition and examination route, group C1, within the 2026 specific Public Employment Offer for Local Police. The procedure is processed under Administrative File no. 00259/2026/PER of the Personnel Service of the General Secretariat.

The provisional list of applicants

The provisional list identifies applicants by first name, surname, and ID number (DNI), indicating the causes for exclusion, under the terms of Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights. The list is displayed on the City Council’s website and on the Edicts Board of the Corporation’s electronic office.

• 344 applicants appear on the provisional list.
• 341 admitted applicants pass the initial phase of the process.
• 3 excluded applicants must rectify the defects within the enabled period.

Causes for exclusion and rectification period

In accordance with the Fourth Base of the call, provisionally excluded or omitted applicants have 10 business days, counting from the publication in the gazette, to rectify the defects that motivated their exclusion or omission. Those who fail to do so will be considered to have withdrawn their application and will be declared definitively excluded.

The causes for exclusion listed in the announcement are as follows:

• Failure to prove representation as established in Article 5 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure.
• Failure to provide the required application according to Base 3.1 of the call.
• Failure to provide proof of payment of the examination fees, unless exempt according to Base 3.1.

Candidates who notice any error in their personal data may request its rectification in writing, through the electronic office or the General Registry, documenting their request if applicable.

A key reinforcement for citizen security

The call is issued by delegation of the Local Government Board, dated June 26, 2023, and is signed by the Councilor for Finance and Internal Affairs, Jesús García Barroso Corrochano. The resolution bears insertion number No. I.- 3801 and verification code 2026.00003801.

The addition of a dozen new officers per free shift reinforces the staff of the Local Police of Talavera de la Reina, the second largest city in the province of Toledo, within a context of generational renewal of the force. For the hundreds of applicants who have applied for the competitive examination, the publication of this provisional list marks the first firm step toward the examination phase, and the correction period is decisive for those who have been provisionally excluded from the process.
