Tàrrega urgently appoints an interim Local Police officer

The Tàrrega City Council has agreed, through a Mayoral Resolution dated August 31, 2026, to the urgent appointment of a Local Police officer as interim civil service personnel. The decision, signed by Mayor Rosa Ma Perelló Escoda, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lleida (no. 167, of September 1, 2026, edict 7385, CVE BOP-2026_0_167_7385, p. 1-1).

The appointment responds to the need to ensure the temporary, urgent, and non-deferrable coverage of a Local Police officer position, assigned to the civil service staff of the Special Administration Scale, Special Services sub-scale, Local Police Class, Basic Scale. The position is filled full-time and takes effect from September 1, 2026, the date of taking office.

The hiring is based on article 10.1.b) of the TREBEP (Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30), which regulates the appointment of interim civil servants for the temporary coverage of job positions. The publication is made in accordance with article 82 of Decree 214/1990, of July 30, which approves the Regulations for personnel in the service of local entities in Catalonia.

The job position is classified in professional group C, subgroup C1, according to article 76 of the TREBEP, corresponding to the basic scale of the Local Police.

The appointment is granted to Alejandro Montes Casado, with DNI *9313, who joins as an interim civil servant for a strictly necessary period. The main characteristics of the appointment are:

• Position: Local Police officer of Tàrrega.
• Status: interim civil servant, article 10.1.b) of the TREBEP.
• Working day: full-time, group C, subgroup C1.
• Effects: from September 1, 2026, date of taking office.
• Duration: until the effective reinstatement of the permanent holder, Laura Salamanca Clariana.

The urgent appointment responds to the need to maintain the municipality’s citizen security service in the face of the temporary absence of the position’s permanent holder. The immediate coverage of the vacancy ensures the continuity of the Tàrrega Local Police deployment, which sees its operational staff reinforced from the first day of September.

The edict, processed by the Provincial Council of Lleida and electronically signed on August 29, 2026, can be validated at the Tàrrega City Council’s electronic office using the secure validation code. The measure, which is temporary in nature, will cease to be effective when the permanent civil servant returns to her workplace.
