Tàrrega approves the 2026 Public Employment Offer with nine positions

The Tàrrega City Council has approved the Public Employment Offer (OPO) for the 2026 financial year, which includes nine budget-funded vacancies. The agreement was adopted via Mayoral Decree number 2026/919, dated August 7, 2026, and was made public through the Official Gazette of the Province of Lleida (no. 162, edict 7213, dated August 25, 2026, CVE BOP-2026_0_162_7213, pp. 1-2).

The approval was formalized by recalling the competence delegated to the Local Government Board, in accordance with Mayoral Decree 2026/294, in order to initiate the processing of the selection procedures with maximum speed without waiting for the next ordinary session of the collegiate body. The offer falls within the limits of the ordinary staff replacement rate provided for in Article 20 of Law 31/2022, of December 23, on the General State Budgets for the year 2023.

Open competition positions

The main part of the offer consists of seven open competition positions, which will be called via a competitive examination (concurs-oposició) and cover various areas of municipal activity:

• Local Police Officer (civil servant, group C1): 2 positions, identified as 10.112.18 and 10.112.19.
• Cemetery Laborer (contract staff, group AP): 1 position, identified as 20.183.12.
• Equality and Health Technician (contract staff, group A2): 1 position, identified as 20.196.1.
• Librarian (contract staff, group A2): 1 position, identified as 20.167.2.
• Museums Technician (contract staff, group A1): 2 positions, identified as 20.176.3 and 20.176.4.

Internal promotion positions

Additionally, the 2026 OPO reserves two positions for the internal promotion system, which do not count towards the staff replacement rate, in accordance with Article 20.Three.4 of the LPGE 2023:

• Senior Engineering Technician, Head of the Urban Planning Area (civil servant, group A1): 1 position, identified as 10.122.1.
• Sports Technician, Head of the Sports Unit (contract staff, group A2): 1 position, identified as 20.194.1.

Processing and publicity

The agreement stipulates that the selection processes corresponding to the included positions will be called within the maximum term established in Article 70 of the Recast Text of the Law of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee. The resolution, signed by Mayor Rosa Maria Perelló Escoda, orders full publication in the BOP of Lleida, in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya, on the electronic notice board and on the municipal electronic office, and will be communicated to the Government Delegation in Catalonia and the General Negotiation Table.

The offer represented a significant employment opportunity for the Urgell region, with positions ranging from citizen security to culture, health, and municipal technical services.
