Táliga initially approves the remuneration of its councilors

The City Council of Táliga (Badajoz) has initially approved the modification of the remuneration, passive rights, and social benefits of its elected personnel, an agreement adopted by the municipal Plenary in a session held on August 7, 2026. The decision is made public through Announcement 3356/2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 162, dated August 25, 2026.
The announcement, signed by the Mayor-President, David Fernández Fernández, exercising the powers granted by Article 21 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, publicizes the agreement in accordance with Article 75 of the aforementioned law and Article 13 of Royal Decree 2568/1986, of November 28, which approves the Regulation of Organization, Operation, and Legal Regime of Local Entities.
Fixed Remuneration
The modification establishes the gross annual remuneration for two members of the Corporation, both to be paid in 14 installments:
- María José Trigo Gómez, Deputy Mayor: €31,100.30 gross per year, effective from the date the Mayor-President ceases to receive payments from said City Council.
- María del Carmen Domínguez Medina, Councilor: €10,561.18 gross per year, effective from the date she took office.
Regulatory Framework and Procedure
The initial approval is part of the regulation of remuneration for local elected officials, which requires their determination by the Plenary and publication in the corresponding official gazette to ensure the transparency of municipal spending.
