Immediate suspension of works in Pontevedra by edict of the Urban Planning Agency

The Urban Planning Legality Protection Agency (APLU) has ordered the immediate suspension of the works subject to file PO-0050-2025 in Pontevedra, by means of a resolution issued by its director on April 28, 2026. As the holder could not be located, notification is made by edict, published in the Official Gazette of Galicia number 156, of August 19, 2026, pages 45396-45397.

Notification by edict

The resolution could not be notified personally to the person holding DNI 35553665N, therefore resorting to the procedure provided for in article 44 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the common administrative procedure of public administrations. The announcement is also published in the Official State Gazette to ensure its effectiveness.

• The full text of the resolution is available to the interested party at the APLU offices, in the Witland building, in Salgueiriños, Santiago de Compostela.
• The consultation period is 10 business days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official State Gazette.
• Once this period has elapsed, the notification shall be deemed completed.

Appeals against the resolution

The resolution ends the administrative route, therefore the holder may challenge the suspension order through the following means:

• Appeal for reversal (Recurso de reposición) within one month, before the director of the APLU.
• Contentious-administrative appeal within two months, before the contentious-administrative section of the court of first instance of the district where the affected property is located, in accordance with Law 29/1998, regulating the contentious-administrative jurisdiction.

Signature and processing

The announcement, dated in Santiago de Compostela on August 5, 2026, is signed on behalf of the director (P.S., article 3 of Decree 51/2008, of March 6) by Olalla Flores Fernández, general sub-director of the Urban Planning Legality Protection Agency.

The immediate suspension of the works reflects the exercise of the competencies for the protection of urban planning legality in Galicia, which allow the regional administration to halt allegedly irregular actions. For the affected holder, the notification by edict serves as a notice that the period for allegations and appeals is already underway, therefore they must go to the agency’s offices in Santiago de Compostela to learn the full content of the resolution and prevent the suspension from becoming consolidated.
