Monthly certifications and cancellations of Educational Vouchers are suspended in 2026.

Por FactBox Admin

The Ministry of Human Capital suspended for the entire year 2026 the monthly certifications and the termination of the assistance program Educational Vouchers. This is established by Resolution 505/2026 of the Secretariat of Education, published on August 13 in the Official Gazette of the Argentine Republic, with the aim that the educational trajectories of beneficiaries are not affected while the school year is in progress.

The regulation, identified as RESOL-2026-505-APN-SE#MCH and signed on August 11 in the City of Buenos Aires by the Secretary of Education, Carlos Horacio Torrendell, suspends the application of articles 14 and 21 subsection e) of the General Regulations of the Program, approved by Resolution 205/2026 of the same secretariat. The case file for the measure is EX-2026-24372128-APN-SSPIE#MCH.

What is no longer required during 2026

The program was created by Resolution 61/2024 of the Ministry of Human Capital as a temporary benefit for families with children up to 18 years old enrolled in publicly funded private educational institutions with at least 75% state contribution and whose family income does not exceed 7 Minimum Vital and Mobile Wages.

  • Monthly certifications (article 14 of the Regulations): educational institutions are exempted from carrying out the monthly accreditation of beneficiaries during 2026.
  • Termination of the benefit (article 21 subsection e): the application of the termination ground provided for in that subsection is suspended during the same period.
  • Validity: the suspension applies only to the year 2026, without retroactive effects or automatic extensions.

The initiative was promoted by the Undersecretariat of Educational Policies and Innovation, which warned that the application of the suspended provisions could harm beneficiary families in a context of an ongoing school year.

Regulatory framework of the measure

The resolution is issued in exercise of the powers conferred by Decree 50/2019, which approved the organizational structure of the Ministry of Human Capital and the actions under the responsibility of the Secretariat of Education, and by article 4 of Resolution 61/2024, which entrusted that secretariat with the execution of the program and the issuance of its regulations.

  • Law 22.520 (consolidated text by Decree 438/1992): law of ministries applicable to the organization of the State.
  • Resolution 205/2026 of the Secretariat of Education: convened the registration corresponding to 2026 and modified the General Regulations of the Program.
  • The Permanent Legal Service and the Legal Undersecretariat of the Ministry of Human Capital intervened and validated the legality of the procedure.

What it means for beneficiaries

With this suspension, families that are part of the program will not have their benefit payments interrupted due to delays or missing monthly certifications that schools must issue, nor due to the application of the grounds for termination under subsection e) of Article 21. The measure provides certainty to families with children in public educational institutions under private management with state funding that depend on this support to cover school fees.

The resolution was published in the first section of the Official Gazette of the Argentine Republic on August 13, 2026, and orders its communication to the National Directorate of the Official Registry for publication and subsequent filing.
